The company made the experience memorable. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere. It was very lively and fun. The chef put on an amazing show at the table and was very respectful. The shrimp was very juicy and the steak was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend Masa Hibachi!

Dinner on a Monday night.Hibachi presentation went pretty fast.ALSO - I confirmed TWICE that I'm allergic to crabs/lobster.My Guest & I both watched as the Cook used the same FORK to slice open Lobster and STEAK. (I had Shrimp & Steak)Needless to say, I just didn't eat the steak

Stopped by Masa for a quick bite before a movie. Located in downtown Silver Spring above the Matchbox, across from Uniqlo. Lovely purple and green theme with some unique art and fixtures on the walls. Wraparound bar in the main area with window booth seating as well. Also a large hibachi table area for parties and events. I've been before and it was great but this was a standout visit food and service wise. Ordered the pork gyoza, a spicy tuna roll, and the lucky 7 roll to split. Easily enough food for 2 people. Best gyoza I've had in forever. Beautiful presentation for both dishes as well. Loved the extra touch. Didn't get hibachi this time but would definitely recommend as the other two times I've come and ordered it was great. Lan our server was phenomenal. Attentive, friendly, gave us great recommendations for drinks and food. Really made an already great experience perfect.

Great food--hibachi is on point (always). My boyfriend and I stopped by after work (we live nearby) and decided to eat in. Sushi, margaritas, and hibachi entrees were what we ordered, and service was great given the time of day (around 5:30 pm). Our food came out quickly, and our chef was very entertaining. Btw, they are available via Uber Eats as well

This place is pretty average. We visited here for a friend's birthday and it started off by them not having a setup ready for our group even though our friend made a reservation a week in advance. It took them probably an hour or so to have a setup available for our group of 14. They originally wanted us to split up and be at two different grills. The food itself was just average. I ordered the steak and shrimp combo. And it comes with noodles and rice. It was a nice change up to get noodles as well but they weren't anything special. The miso soup they started off with was really good though! The service was mentioned above. But after sitting down it wasn't too bad. They got orders done and out fairly quickly. And the chefs were actually fun and involved with our group by doing the sake bottle into our mouths and by having us try and catch vegetables in our mouth. The ambiance was casual and typical of a regular hibachi restaurant. Nothing to really report. There is a parking garage nearby so that's convenient. But nothing about this restaurant stood out as a reason to drive all the way back out to Maryland. If you're in the area, maybe try it out, but don't go out of your way to eat here.

Honestly, the food was only alright and the prices are fairly high for the quality. We had a reservation, but they expect everyone to be there before you can get seated. They ended up ssking to split the group apart, and it was for a birthday. When we said no, we had to wait an additional 20 mins to have a whole hibachi area to ourselves. I've been to better hibachi spots, I wasn't impressed and wouldn't go back. They do give A LOT of food, but it's not a place for a special occasion.

Overall, this is a fine establishment and that's been a mainstay in Silver Spring for a very long time. It can get packed, so be aware that the systems need little finetuning. It's easiest to come with just a couple of people, last night I saw lots of very large groups that were waiting for a while, it's well known. For the Hibachi, the filet mignon is the best way to go IMO. It's tender, tasty, and not over seasoned. The food is good but doesn't blow you away. The chef we had did some tricks and made us all laugh while cooking the food. The portions are massive and most people walk away with a full to go box. We got good service and enjoyed the meal, what else is there? It's pretty loud, so if you have guests that are hard of hearing, this might not be the best environment for them. A recommendation for the bar: I ordered the Scorpion Punch as I normally do, but this time, it was literally every alcohol and no juice. It was so strong that I had to go to the bar and get a cup of juice to add in, which they graciously did for me at no extra charge. You definitely get your money's worth on booze, but I'd be happier if it was more balanced and sweet. It's probably just an off night for the bartender.

Centrally located in downtown Silver Spring on the second floor by the fountain with paid garage parking in the area. This has been here for a long time and I've visited many times. The ambiance is ok, getting a bit outdated through the years but still nice. Service has been ok. I've tried the hibachi, which is pretty typical - you're mostly paying for the "show". I'm mostly here for the sushi, which is pretty solid and fresh. Also beautifully plated, I don't know why I can only find one picture lol! Overall I would say it's probably only a 3.5, but I'm rounding up since I've been here many times through the years with many people, so it's a bit of a sentimental bump up personally.

It's Hibachi. You know what you're getting into when you go here. You're paying for the experience and less about the food. It is no different than any other Hibachi place. So for that, I got my money's worth even if the food was average. The servers were hands off and I did not notice if anyone got refills at our table. Usually in places like this, the server is all over you. I hear Happy Hours are great here though, so I'm encouraged to try their happy hour some time.

So conveniently located in downtown Silver Spring, with parking garage nearby. The food has always been delicious, and the portions are VERY generous, so prepare to take leftovers home. Service can be a tad slower on a busy weeknight; be sure to order a drink as soon as you arrive, even if you have to wait to be seated at the hibachi grill. We've been in a group of 4, and didn't have to wait to be seated on a Saturday night. The 'show' is so entertaining and fun! The chefs really seem to enjoy entertaining their guests, so that adds to the experience. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is that I think the wait time (after being seated) for the chef to arrive at the grill can be a little bit long. But the food and the chef's skills are certainly worth it! We keep going back for those two reasons, and also to support a business in the city where we live.
