Mary's Gourmet Donut Shoppe

Finally got around to trying Mary's Gourmet Donuts after hiking with friends. It's housed Inside a Dutch market and there any different shops inside to patronize. This fine establishment looks to be family owned and you can see the pride in their product and the effort in customer service administered to customers. The donuts are well presented and fresh, plus the added bonus of seeing the donuts being made in front of you. I went for an array of different donuts. My choices, were the old fashion, cinnamon, blueberry cake, glazed yeast and apple fritter. The donuts were warm which was icing on the cake, well donut :-) If you happen to be in the area do give them a try. You will be pleased.

I find Mary's Gourmet Donuts so good that I hate myself when I settle and eat a pedestrian donut from Dunkin' or the grocer. I especially enjoy the toasted coconut, glazed cinnamon twists, Boston cream (warning: a lot of custard), and frosted M&M topped. They are fresh made daily, so they (at least the raised donuts) are very tender. They also sell fried pies I need to try. If they're listening, sometimes the fruit fritters could use a little longer frying, but other than that, the only way I can think of making Mary's Donuts more desirable to me would be to make them free of charge!

This place is amazing - If you come to the Dutch Market in Cockeysville make sure to get something from here. We ordered an Original Glazed donut, Boston Creme, & an Old Fashioned. All three were delicious, and made me wish I ordered more. The drinks were great too, can substitute different types of milk if you would like. If you like pastries or just want a coffee/tea, definitely stop by here. Great food and drinks

This place was part of a large market with various vendors. This shop had lots to choose from and were extremely reasonable when it came to pricing. There was a vast number of different donuts available. I had a dozen donuts (Around $11). All of them were very big in size. The staff was very courteous as well. My thoughts on each donut are below. Blueberry Fritter - I thought there could have been more of a blueberry taste to it, but the flavor was very good regardless.Cinnamon Twist - This was just cinnamon sugar. It was probably my least liked one because of the overall dryness.Vanilla with M&Ms - I thought this would just be plain, but that was not the case at all. The M&Ms and vanilla icing proved to be a dynamic combination. Pumpkin Crème - I thought there was not too much of a pumpkin flavor here, but overpowered by the icing on top. Chocolate Dipped - This was a standard chocolate donut that was very tasty. The chocolate was extremely delicate.Sugared Jelly - The jelly inside appeared to be raspberry and there was plenty of it. There was something about the jelly however, that seemed a little off, but just could not determine what it was.Long John Peanut Butter - This was unbelievable. There appeared to be peanut butter icing on the top and peanut butter inside. It was just loads of peanut butter, but was not overpowering. This was my favorite donut tried.Peanut Butter Filled - This was similar to the peanut butter one mentioned above. This was just a regular "round" donut compared to the Long John. Caramel Apple - It was full with apple pieces. They were sweet and appetizing. Lemon Dwight - There was an abundant amount of lemon filling in this and lemon flavoring on top as well. I am a big fan of lemon so this was a treat to have.Coconut Custard - Being I am not a coconut fan I figured I would dislike this a lot. That was not the case. The coconut taste was not overpowering, but just right. It helped there was glaze and custard that occupied the coconut. Salted Caramel - This was another well put together donut. The caramel taste was not too overpowering or sweet. It was just right. Will I go back? Easily.

The absolute best donuts in the entire world....and I've tried A LOT of them. The texture of the dough is what sets it apart. The classic vanilla dipped is so simple and so perfect. I could eat 1,000

Large selection of donuts, there is something for everyone. The donuts are so fresh and yummy! Friendly staff!

I can't really post a super lengthy review because I've only tried their coffee drinks here, but they have always been solid! The barista did a good job of suggesting drinks and was conversational and friendly while she made my latte. It was cool being able to watch everything because all the machines are right in front of the counter. I'm also a sucker for latte art! It's located inside the Pennsylvania Dutch Market and it's a great stop to get some coffee to take with you as you walk around the market. Next time I'll have to try their donuts! They looked delicious.

My boyfriend and I come here every weekend, we can't get enough! You can watch them make the donuts right in front of you, all homemade. Dutch donut is the best! Best way I can describe it is a coffee cake donut.

My 4 year old loves powdered donuts but no one makes them anymore!! She was so excited when we got to Mary's and they had soooo many varieties including powdered and cinnamon sugar. We got there at a good time and there was only 1 person in line ahead of us on a Saturday morning... by the time we left there was a large line forming! The donuts were so fresh and the young boy behind the counter working was so sweet and helpful! More of a hike to get to than DD on every corner... but VERY worth it and way better!
