Great service and menu selections.. Maryland flag themed restaurant and pub . Tried 1/2 rack of ribs-excellent ! and crab cakes-average MD cc . Generous portions - good sides!

Let's start with the food, outstanding! There were 4 of us, we had the stuffed mushrooms, bacon wrapped bourbon scallops, smoke beef platter and the pork sriracha tacos. There was absolutely nothing wrong with anything. There was so much oohing and aaahing going on, I don't believe many other words were spoken. Brian was our server, and was very knowledgeable on all items on the menu. He was always right there when we needed refills or anything at all. My only complaint is if you go into the ladies room, don't take your purse because the stall I was in did not have a purse hanger. Going to the restroom with your purse around your neck is interesting. Run don't walk to give this restaurant a try. I hope you like it as much as we did.

My wife and I shared a double crab cake that was one of the better crab cakes. It came on two plates with the sides also split. Our waitress, Shelby,was very attentive to our needs. When we arrived with a wheelchair the two hostesses who were at their station , not helping other guests, did not make any attempt to helwith the door.

Stopped by here on our way home from PA on a whim and we were very pleasantly surprised. First of all the service was great, our server Adam was awesome, very friendly and on top of everything. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. It was nice to see so many smiles and no workers looking at their phones. The food was absolutely delicious and the prices very reasonable. I had the 1/2 rack of smokehouse rib special, gave half my ribs to my husband and still couldn't quite finish my half. Fries were served hot and seasoned perfectly and even the coleslaw was good. My husband enjoyed his smokehouse quesadillas, he said they were delicious. We shared steamed shrimp that was steamed perfectly and served with onions. We had way too much food and had to take some home. I highly recommend this place and hope to be back someday, although it's a bit of a drive for us. Definitely a great place to eat.

We tried this restaurant because we were near the area at the time for dinner. We ordered the fried shrimp platter, shrimp salad wrap and ribs with a peach crush. Everything was fresh and delicious! The ribs were falling off the bone and the shrimp were huge. I think I want to try the crab cake next!

Made a reservation here for a date night. The staff was very friendly and over the phone told me they were having a crab shortage and didn't know if their shipment would be in by the time we arrived. I stated it was fine and we would order something else. Their menu was full of options and all the food looked delicious! We were promptly taken to our seats and the food came out quickly! What ended up making this a 5 star experience, was the fact that during our meal they saved a dozen crabs for us just in case we wanted them since their shipment hadn't come in. The very idea that they took the time to save them and offer them showed me their care. I will be coming back and recommend The Maryland Mallet for anyone looking to do a date night.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is outstanding. The roasted Brussels sprouts are amazing. Service is friendly and quick downstairs. If someone gives this place less than 4 stars, they belong at Applebees because they don't know good food.

The food is good with the exception of the crabs. We ordered 3 dozen large and at least 1 dozen would be considered small elsewhere. Additionally, at least 8 of the crabs were mushy and unedible. I always give a pass for a bad experience before writing negative reviews, but this is the second bad experience with crabs this year. They are a least one to two sizes less than what you would get elsewhere. The other food is good, but stay away from the steamed crabs!!!

First off....service was great. Now, the food was a different story. Soup of the day was French Onion. I suppose the chef doesn't taste his cooking. Sweet brown water with no onions and melted cheese on the top doesn't measure up. Sent that back. Our meals came, and while my shrimp were great, 1 bite into the crab ball, and I had to politely dispose of it in my napkin. It was VERY spoiled crab meat. I'm not sure who you have cooking, but that should have NEVER passed a nose test to even make it to the fryer!! The server was apologetic, and the manager was more than accommodating. I told him the gift card wasn't necessary, but he insisted. However, we will not be going back. Food poisoning is not something I am interested in. This was our family Christmas lunch, and I was well beyond disappointed. What has happened to this place?

The food was ok but the service was horrendous. The bartender was too busy talking at the bar instead of tending to the tables . We had to keep asking other servers for drinks and food items . The other issue was that we had a 13 month old and they would put us in the dining room. We sat on the bar side . When we asked to sit on the dining room side we were told cause it wasn't that person's time in the rotation even though there were tons of tables open on that side. Our food came out wrong and was never corrected . This is a place I don't plan on going back .
