Yes, the AYCE crabs are small. But come on, you knew that was going to happen. There's a menu, and prices for a dozen of all the sizes are clearly stated, and you winced and decided to get the AYCE. Why do you think that a restaurant would give you the big crabs? Those cost more money, and they're actually in the business to MAKE money.. That said...Our nephew who used to live in Dundalk, but who moved to ND a few years ago, was in town for a couple of days. One of the things he wanted to do the most, during his visit, was to eat Maryland steamed crabs. At first we were considering ordering a couple dozen to pick up and take them to a park somewhere, but it's been ten thousand degrees every day this summer, so we opted to eat inside. There were five of us, and the restaurant was empty at 2pm, so there wasn't any issue with seating. The place did slowly fill up as we were there, and that should be no surprise considering they have AYCE shrimp, chicken fingers, and other affordable options. Our waitress (I think she said her name was Carrie) was amazing. Efficient and friendly. She seems to truly enjoy interacting with the customers and making sure they have a great experience. We got the AYCE crabs. Jeremy also got some cream of crab soup and hush puppies. He enjoyed both. I have never, ever eaten enough crab to fill me up. I can sit there all day and pick. I love it. I find it so soothing. And the extended meal time (two hours) gives you plenty of time to converse with your dinnermates. Our nephew picked his way through two dozen crabs before he called it quits. I meant to count, but it became muscle memory to finish one crab and automatically reach for another. We had at least two rounds/trays of crabs each. There were a few females mixed in, which was kinda fun because the nephew had never seen crab roe. They were nicely seasoned.I have already told my friends about this place. I feel like I'm definitely going back and would love to introduce them to this hidden gem of a restaurant. Would absolutely recommend

Recently came here for my sister's bday. I was excited to try another AYCE Crab spot close to Baltimore! The restaurant is not large but has an adequate amount of tables to accommodate small and large parties. On this visit I went with the AYCE crabs and shrimp. I also ordered the pit beef sandwich. My sandwich was a good portion, adequately seasoned and cooked as requested. I only ate half so I wouldn't fill up. Now the crabs. For 50 ( I came on the a Sunday, apparently there is different pricing from week to weekend) some of the crabs were not badly sized (medium) but; a majority were small and hallow. Once you pulled the legs, that was it for the meat. Sad. Though our wait time wasn't bad for our 1st tray of crabs, it progressively got longer and your crab tray got lighter in crab number. In the allotted time (2hrs), I believe I received about 16 crabs between 3 trays. 8 on my first (which was the best tray btw), Tray two had 4 and the last tray had 4. I thought the number would increase between tray 2 and 3 but, it didn't. Though we had more time, I'd had enough. No more 4 crab trays for the me. I understand being leery of product waste but, not sure what the thinking was here considering the crab quality. Doubly confusing, when others at my table were served more than 4 crabs on their trays. The shrimp were a nice size and had great seasoning. The shrimp also came with potato's and onions. At least I did have those in between trays. I do believe this is a one and done for me. Or maybe I should try the crabs by dozen. Ps. Do know they automatically add 18% to your bill no matter how large or small your party. Pics included are of tray 1

I visited this location for the 1st time today.. I was excited to sit & enjoy AYCE Rand because I have heard so many good things about it.. I can say that I was not as impressed.. The crabs are relatively small & they were not too meaty.. I ordered the AYCE crabs & shrimp. The 1st tray I received came with about 1lb of shrimp & 8 crabs(small).. As previously stated they were not meaty at all & some seemed pretty hallow.. The waitress came to the table not often at all & I was charge automatically an 18% gratuity on my tab.. They gave us the pricing sheet & informed it was AYCE for 2hrs.. Given the time we arrived & the time it took for them to bring the 2nd tray took most of the time.. The 2nd tray had only 4 crabs & still very small.. Due to the size of the crabs we chose to leave.. It was not satisfactory to what you're used too at an AYCE location..

One of the most affordable and bang for the buck All You Can Eat Crab Places in the DMV!They have a special $5 off the AYCE crab special that makes it even more amazing when you sign up to receive their emails for deals. The crabs were small but hot and the seasoning was amazing! You get 2 hours to eat as much as you want. We loved AYCE crab AND shrimp! The best deal might be the AYCE chicken tender, catfish and fries (which by the way is one of my favorite of all time) for $20! But it's so much food that you might not be able to get past the first platter. My parents loved the special platter with muscles, clams, snow legs, blue crabs and fries platter. The service was amazing and she was so helpful and quick to check up on us. It is totally worth the drive to come get it if you are in the DMV area.

I've driven past this place a gazillion times. I never knew it was a seafood spot. For some reason I thought it was a liquor store, that's the type of curb appeal it has. We decided to pop in tonight to give the all you can eat crabs a try. The upside to this place is that everybody at the table is not force to do the all you can eat. I'm not a crab picker so I opted out. I was told the crabs were ok. Some of the crabs were meaty and some looked like they died for nothing cause that's what was in them....nothing!! I ordered the Shrimp Alfredo which was pretty decent. I had to add some more old bay cause the flavor was a little lacking. The portion size was good. I had enough for a second meal. The garlic bread was a big yes, truly....they give you 4 pieces!! I did order an ear of corn for $3......it was dry and lifeless, very dissatisfying. The service was on the lacking side. When we arrived the hostess/waiter told us it was only two people working so service would be slow. Ummm ok.....two more servers showed up and it still didn't make a difference. They were really under staffed. They only cleaned off a table of a new party came in and they might need the table. The table next to us stayed dirty the entire time we were there. I will say our waitress was very nice but it still took forever to get anything. They charge you 18 % gratuity so I guess they ok with giving the bare minimum. The ambiance isn't much to speak on. It's set up like your typical crab house, Maryland flag crab decorations on the walls. They do have a tv on the wall in the dinning area and in the bar area. The bar area was a pretty nice size. I couldn't tell if they had an actual bartender who was waiting tables to or if each server was making their own drinks.....that's how short staffed they were. I'm not sure if I would return. This place wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst either. Give it a shot. Form your own opinion. You might catch them on a better day.

This was my least favorite crab house of all time. The cream of crab soup was the best thing that had at this restaurant. The hush puppies left much to be desired. The crabs were very small (the poster says that they're economic sized crabs). The service was also very slow for a week day. For the price of the bottomless crabs you're better off going to another crab house.

Came for the all you can eat crabs, snow crabs and shrimp for $45.00. The hostess was very friendly and seated us as soon as she cleaned of a table because we requested a booth. It was a little crowded in the restaurant. Everything was still nice and clean. I can't remember the name of my drink but, it was orange and red and had a slice of orange on the rim. It was nice and strong. For some reason the crabs were not good at all last night. I was disappointed because I don't remember that ever being the case here. Not sure what was going on. The snow crab and steamed shrimp were delicious. The other think I didn't like about the all you can eat was that we ate all of the snow crabs and all of the shrimp but, couldn't get more because we didn't eat all of the crabs. If the crabs would have tasted well we would have eaten them too but, that was not the case. Oh well, at least I'll know for the next time and may then the crabs will be good.

I used to love this place. Tonight I came here with 4 other people. Tonight they were short staffed (told us that up front) but were not that busy. I wish the service had been better

A review from a 9year olds perspective: Five stars. The service there was great, the waiters were nice and the food was perfect. My favorite thing was the half pound shrimp. Five stars would go again. Ana was AMAZING!
