We stopped on a weekday afternoon about 1 p.m., and the restaurant was not busy. A few customers and they were carryout orders.This store was at the end of a small strip plaza. Bars on the windows were a bit off-putting, but these kinds of businesses can create some good food. The inside was broom swept clean. It could use some freshening up.They do offer lunch specials displayed on the counter where you pay. My husband chose the cold cut sub. It comes with small French fries and a med fountain drink. They have Coke products. I ordered a cheesesteak sub, also with small French fries.His sub was great! In the same plastic container was an amazing amount of fries. Same with my cheese steak (which they call wafer steak) , I added raw onions. My cheesesteak was overcooked and dry.I loved the fries, hot and fresh, as they are meant to be and lots of them.If we stop here again, it would be for the fries.The clerk at the register was very polite and helpful.

The pizza at this place is horrible; the sauce is really sweet with a hint of spicy with no flavor in the crust, cheese, or meat. I would only recommend the subs from the place.

Lived in the area 25 years asks never ordered from here. Today I decided to try them.Pros: 1. food was hot2. Portions were large Cons:1. Ordered my cheeseburger sub medium. It was cooked til it was rubber. Had it not been overcooked, the sub would have been perfect. 2. Gravy fries could use more flavor. Final thoughts: probably won't order again.

Since moving to B More and Hamilton neighborhood I started going to Pappa's, when I got tired of their lackadaisical customer service I found Mo's. It served the purpose for salmon and adult beverages, but then I found Crackpot with all day happy hour and the food was pretty good especially the daily specials (do not order the prime rib, it's sub prime). When their news owners cleaned house and let everyone go, the people made the place special and now they are gone especially Larry who'd worked there 50 years. Not going back. Then I started going to Marias with low expectations. However once they know you you will get tasty but fried food and great low priced adult beverages. They even put in new chairs. I recommend Maria's if you are on a budget and want to hang locally. Some of the customers look tough but they are actually all chill.

Nothing fancy about this place. I went to the bar side. There were a few people loitering around outside. Once inside not many people were at the bar. The bar stools and chairs were old, ancient and worn. The barmaid was not very attentive. I watched several people sit at the bar with empty glasses. The two drinks I had were a long island and an apple martini. They both were actually good. It took some time to get the barmaids attention to order food. I ordered a sampler with onion rings, mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers. It wasn't bad. My friend ordered chicken fingers and fries. I didn't care for the fries at all. This is not a place you go to impress someone. Others in the bar were pretty friendly. This is only a good place if you are looking for low budget spending. Other than that you may or may not want to pass it by. I would check it out again only if I just wanted to step out to get a drink.

This place is terrible from the outside/inside and food!!! Dirtiest restaurant I ate at in a long time!!!! Yellow cheese n my cheesesteak not even melted in the meat, mozzarella cheese on my fries ( terrible I wanted cheese wiz ) but don't carry that My boy ordered a hamburger and got a hamburger sub because they were out of round rolls! the chicken nuggets looked like the cheap ones you buy at the grocery store!!! DONT GO THERE. Ever!!!!

I got a pepperoni pizza here on 1/14/2025 it was awful, pre-made pizza shell, skimpy cheese, and under cooked. I would not go to this place again if you put a gun to my head.

In the 1970's my friends, family, and I got subs and pizzas here several times a month. The store changed a lot and I think there's a different owner now but still great. Got subs yesterday and they're still excellent. Melting cheese on the roll while toasting the roll helps. Ingredients are generous and good quality. We recommend them.

I did not enjoy the steak sub w provolone. Paid $9.99 for two subs. Online price $8.99. Online was not available. I got hots lettuce tomato cooked onions mayo. Got upset stomach forThis order . no stars You can Buy lottery here.

Food was trash. I got a meatball sub and a chicken Caesar salad for my daughter. The salad was not fresh. The chicken on it tasted funny. The meatball sub was burnt. Not the bread, but the meatballs and sauce. You could tell they let it sit in a steam well all day. Apparently mine must have been on the bottom of the well and burned. It was horrible. I'm posting about it the next day because my stomach still hurts. I wouldn't eat here if I was you. Never again!
