Maple Lawn Market Deli

Some of the best food I've ever had has come from restaurants inside gas stations, so I was excited to find Maple Lawn Market Deli. I got a fish sandwich: fried flounder, lettuce, tomato, red onion, american cheese and tartar sauce on a kaiser roll. The fish was thin and crispy, the toppings were crisp and fresh, proportions were good. Made fresh to order; it hit the spot.I wanted mozzarella sticks, too, but they didn't have any. There's a salad bar and there was a hot bar, too, which wings, fried chicken, and a couple of asian dishes. You order at the counter and then pay at the gas station attendant counter, so if you want chips and drink or other snacks, you can just get them in the station and pay like normal. The deli gives you a sticky note with the price of your order. The service was friendly and the line wasn't long, but there was a steady stream of customers coming in to pick up their orders or make an order. I came around lunch time on a Friday. Seeing people eating where you are is always encouraging; let's me know someone thinks the place is good. And now that I've ordered from there, I concur.They keep the place clean. There's a couple of tables and they looked newly wiped down when I got there.They close at 4 on weekdays and breakfast is over either at 10:30 or 11:30. Next time I go, I'm going for some breakfast items.

Great place to get a quick lunch. Food is very good. Salad bar has a lot of fruit choices. The shrimp salad, if they have it, is great. Quality is far greater than you would expect at a gas station deli. Fresh. Since they are a small deli and close in the afternoon, get there early. Some days they sell out of the hot specials and salad bar selection.
