I enjoyed eating at Mamma Lucia in Silver Spring! I went with a few friends for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Luis was our waiter and he was awesome and very friendly.I ordered the chicken parmigiana, and it was huge!! The portion size was amazing, and I definitely had to take a to go box to eat it for two more meals at home. My friends got the carbonara and a pizza with alfredo sauce.The ambiance was nice and casual, nothing too fancy. I thought it was a little pricey for the casual atmosphere, but I didn't mind it too much because I enjoyed the food, and the service was great.I do recommend you give it a try if you're ever in the Silver Spring area and want to sit down at a casual Italian restaurant to have some pasta or pizza. Ordered dinner from here tonight and thought we'd have the same experience we did with the College Park location but we're sadly disappointed. The fettuccine alfredo primarily tasted of butter and nothing else. I found it even lacking basic salt. My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana sub and found it to be fine. Hopefully, it was just an off night but in case it wan't, I wouldn't come to this location again.

Pastas are really really good and so is the service. Definitely pricy but a nice treat for the family. And don't forget the gelato! There's a great guy that helps us a lot named Ernesto. Whenever my kid is in the mood for pizza and the adults want something else, Mama Lucia is perfect.

They have delicious pizza plus pasta dishes !!!! My go to is the Capellini Adriatico w/ shrimp , scallops etc! My only issue w/ the dish was there wasn't enough sauce! It's more expensive for the dinner portion! Just ask for extra sauce and enjoy ! It also comes with/ garlic bread and a small salad of if I remember right I usually get takeout when I go there but you can sit down and eat your food if you want!The service is always on point! I'll see what it's like if I ever sit at a table! The ambiance is really cozy! It's like a village ambiance if you get my drift

This place is convenient and near work so I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it before.Lucia's is a chain around the area and there is zero consistency from one location to the next. The good news is that this one is pretty good. Winners from their pizza and anything in the vodka sauce (especially the salmon if it's on the special board).This place is especially great for a quick take out lunch. The staff are fast and attentive.

I had a great experience at this tasty Silver Spring restaurant! We began our meal with garlic bread, which was the perfect free starter--amazingly grilled and flavorful. We then had a pizza appetizer (the de bruno), which was so tasty! I loved the basil on top. After some very serviceable Caesar salads, we had chicken piccata and chicken Marsala. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. I wish the spaghetti had been equally flavorful, but it was still very tasty. We could have gone for gelato as well, but we were so full! Definitely next time. Our service was very efficient, and the restaurant was not too crowded at 1pm on a Saturday. I loved the feeling that the employees knew many of the customers--it's that kind of place!

This is kindly to say good things about your restaurant and the Service as well as good people working there. Firstly, the waiter Luis Cru'z was an incredible and kind person who treat me and my son with at most respect and excellent service from the minute we sit in his table. Today was my son's birthday and we told Luis about it. Then later on, Luis and the other employees came with ice cream and a candle in the ice cream and singing happy birthday for my son. So this shows that Luis and the other employees went out their way to make our day and sing happy birthday to my son. This makes my son's birthday very especial. I didn't expect all that but it was so nice of them. I would like to say that thank you very much to all of them.
