If they had the pistachio croissant every day I would give them a sixth star. They recently added breakfast sandwiches which I am excited to try soon!

Baltimore Bakery Crawl stop #3 of seven places! My best friend, her college bestie, her husband, and I spent Sunday 2/2 exploring different Baltimore bakeries. I tried one thing here, so this review is based on that! This super cute bakery is extremely small. It's a tight space that doesn't fit a lot of people, but there are two really small round tables that could fit three seated guests. We came for the famous almond croissant, but unfortunately it was sold out by the time we arrived. We ended up trying the pain au chocolat. We opted to sit outside on their bench by their cute logo. I found myself wishing the croissant was a bit fresher, maybe because we came around 11 it changed something? I'd still return to try the almond croissant.

Love it! Small and cute so you can't stay too long, but a lovely cafe nonetheless. I've had many of the pastries, from the butter croissants, to the almond, chocolate, morning buns, etc. all are great quality and have the right amount of crisp and flavor. The staff are also fantastic! Super kind. The coffee is from a local Baltimore brand and it's delicious. Can't wait to try their Hamilton location!

Maillard has been consistently outstanding. Wow! I am so impressed with their innovative confections. They have such unique pastries and I am SO freaking happy they now serve coffee drinks such as lattes. I truly believe Maillard is the hottest bakery in Baltimore right now. I am excited to try their other location which I think has breakfast sandwiches. If this location produced an egg breakfast sandwich I would be here everyday lol.

Happened upon the Hamilton location while stopped at a red light. What a great find! Even four days after purchase, 30 seconds in the microwave made the chocolate croissant taste perfect. Highly recommend this great little unpretentious patisserie.

Sitting in Maillard Pastries for 20 minutes eating a perfectly-baked croissant, I listened as the worker greeted customer after customer by name with genuine conversation. The sight shows what kind of place Maillard Pastries is- a neighborhood bakery that cares. It's a small spot inside a rowhouse in Hampden, but it's cozy. Most people get their baked goods to-go, but there are a few small tables for those who want to stay.My chocolate croissant was perfectly flaky on the outside while being warm and soft on the inside. The chocolate to dough ratio is just right.

I've been here a few times--the cashiers and bakers are always lovely, and the glass case of pastries always beckons! It's quite small, so I wouldn't expect to get the table unless you go at off hours. Food-wise, it's quite a variety! What they seem to be known for, and always run out of, are the almond croissants. They're quite good, with plentiful frangipane! However, I've also found the croissant itself to be a bit dry, lacking the buttery softness that a perfect croissant exudes. They usually have a collection of hand pies--I was underwhelmed when I tried them. Fine, but unexciting. Likewise for the cakes, which are good and pretty, but certainly not something I would travel for, and are overshadowed by their other offerings. However, I really enjoy it when they offer tarts! Perfect crusts, fillings that tend a little too sweet, but certainly delicious. I would certainly recommend whatever tart they have, regardless of other offerings. At my last visit Maillard had fig and honey tarts, which were beautiful and delicious!

Maillard Pastries is THE best pastry shop in Baltimore. I've been coming here since it opened & can undoubtedly say the service, pastries & drinks are unrivaled. The croissants are always *extremely* flaky and I've appreciated how their ingredients match the seasons. Right now, they've got a Tomato, Goat Cheese, Pesto galette that's so summery & perfect. Flaky & savory & the tomatoes melt in your mouth. In the fall, though, they turn to apples & squash. Their apple spiced bundt cake was amazing. My favorite regulars are the Morning Bun, Spinach Snail, and Ham & Cheese. Be sure to check their instagram stories for updated daily menus! I can't omit their drinks/cake menu either. Their house made honey syrup for an iced latte is so unique. Their cakes are gorgeous & always moist. I wish there was room to sit & hangout, but thankfully they opened up a second shop on Harford Rd with plenty of room & sometimes breakfast sandos! Totally worth the drive over there.

Delicious lavender latte and pastries, the space is smaller so it's good to grab and go and enjoy a walk. The other location has a few tables though!
