Madrones

We are regulars at Madrones restaurant. Today Saturday October 5. 2024. We place a pick up curbside order. When we came home with our order we discover onen of our order was incorrect. I call the restaurant, asking to speak with the manager.Immediately the manager was not pleasant. He placed me on an indefinite hold. When he returns to the phone I mention he had left me on an indefinite hold. His voice was cold, mean, and very rude. I tried to explain to him my reason for calling. He was very mean, not sure why. I mention to him that he was being rude and unkind. He immediately snapped at me telling me that he has not even, begun to be mean and unkind. This manager did not present any good customer service. After he snapped at me by saying that he hasn't even begun to be mean. I became scared somewhat. If we cannot call and let the manager know our meal was incorrect. I find that to be very unfair. Each meal.is very costly at Madrones Restaurant. We should be able to enjoy our meal to the fullest extent. We were not able to enjoy our meal, our meal was quite expensive. We had to get rid of our meal. Since we do not eat pork. We were serve an incorrect meal. The manager I spoke with had no Customer Service. He was extremely rude, very mean and unprofessional. He was very unkind and should not work as a manager.

This is one of my family's favorite restaurants in Frederick. Always busy at the bar or dining area. We had to wait 30 minutes to get seats on Friday evening, so if you plan to visit, make sure to reserve in advance for dinner. But it is always good food! The service is usually a little slow, as it's busy place. I am sad that their happy hour has been reduced from 3-7pm to 3-6pm but I would still make it on time. LolMy favorite menu item was scallops, shrimps, and two fillet over the mash potatoes but the quality of filets has been changed. The server said they changed the meat part, this made me sad. But still I would go back for filet steaks and chicken lettuce wraps.

I've eaten in and gotten takeout from here! Their takeout system is great. You order online seamlessly then pull into one of the spots at the back of the restaurant click I'm here on your phone and they bring it right out to you right away. I always enjoyed the chicken tenders because they are hand breaded and come with delicious shoestring fries. However this time I tried the Cobb salad which was a large serving and his homemade dressing-- the avocado was a nice touch too! I also tried the Penne Toscana & Blackened Tenderloin which had a good flavor and the steak was cooked well. If you haven't been to this Frederick staple, I highly recommend you check it out!

I'm actually baffled and surprised that I haven't written a review yet for Madrones. I work at a hotel part time and am constantly recommending Madrones to the guests for happy hour, dinner and brunch. And consistently the guests come back delighted and pleased by my recommendation. Personally I am a fan of Madrones' red sangria and their blackened salmon- but most importantly the mashed potatoes with the garlic butter! The garlic butter just melts perfectly on top of the potatoes and is oh so divine! If it's brunch time, I would recommend the salmon and grits- let me tell you that's a party in your mouth...flavor town !

We were wandering around Lunch time, and after passing Madrones 20 times, we thought, why not let's stop in?The appetizer we got (the steak appetizer) was amazing. The two sauces were perfectly paired.The food was prepared nicely, and we could relax and enjoy the meal. It was a great place to stop and enjoy lunch. The only knocks I would have on the place are it is a bit loud (when it's a meal rush and there are many people at the bar) and parking is difficult.They are in a corner spot of a strip mall that is heavily trafficked, and finding a spot is hard.

The food and service were outstanding. The menu had some very imaginative creations that blended well including the tenderloin, scallops and shrimp, with fresh corn, spinach and a butter sauce with just a hint of a kick. The Mongolian double cut pork chop was also a hit along with the goat cheese brûlée served with pita wedges swirled with a balsamic reduction.The server was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive without being intrusive and service was well paced.The only downside, and it was a very minor downside when compared to all the positives, was that it was a shade loud for conversation among 4 slightly older guests! BUT we will all return soon, and often!

My family and I go to Madrones often. Great service and tasty food. Great happy hours and cocktails. I love the calamari, seafood explosion and house salad.

We went to Madrones on a Sunday afternoon because of a recommendation of a friend. We (8 0f us) drove an hour from Pennsylvania to see if the restaurant was as promised. The food was GREAT! The service was GREAT! The restaurant was GREAT! Probably won't be a regular there because of the distance, but we definitely will be back!

Bloody Mary was outstanding. French toast slammer was wonderful. I go back in heartbeat for breakfast. Service may be slow but food is made from scratch. Hubby had the sunrise burger breakfast. Said it was delicious

We have been going to the restaurant for three years regularly on Wednesday and Saturdays. The past six months we have gone the service was declining and so was the food, and the prices were increasing We had the worst service we have ever had at a restaurant the beginning of December, but still wanted to try Christmas Eve The service was not very good. The food was not very good and I think the cherry on the cake was the cocktail was not very good and it has always been very good.Not sure if it's under new management, but we are going to take a little break and hope to return again and things will improve!
