Thursday 3/28/2024This a takeout only spot that specializes in bbq. The customer service was solid. I was able to get a free pulled pork sandwich with the yelp check in coupon offer by spending $45 or more. I made a pick up order through DoorDash and got pulled chicken (1/2 pound) $13.95, dry rub wings (9 ct) $14.95, sliced brisket (1/2 pound) $16.95, and the pork & Mac (1/2 pound) $11.95.- pulled chicken * this was very underwhelming and not the worth the price at all.* there's nothing special about it: it's just unseasoned chicken with a drizzle of bbq sauce over it.- dry rub wings * got a total of 9 wings and they were decent * personally, I wish it wasn't only flats and that there was an option for bbq sauce to be added.- sliced brisket * Some pieces were a bit chewy & softer than others but overall it was pretty good.- pork & Mac * it was a bit pricey and it definitely could've benefited with addition of more seasoning so you could get more flavor out of it.* I added some bbq sauce to it and the combination takes the flavor & taste to another level.- pulled pork sandwich * probably my favorite item: it was pretty good and it was free (with yelp check in coupon)* the bbq sauce was very good* luckily I got the item for free because the original $15 price tag is crazy. All in all, this is a decent bbq spot that charges some pretty expensive prices with servings that don't quite add up but it is what it is.

This is more 3.5 for now. Ordered delivery through the website which gets delivered by DoorDash. This location is carryout and catering at an industrial section off Shady Grove Road. For dine-in, they have locations in Olney and Frederick. Got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad and cornbread. The pork was tender. I like their barbecue sauce. A good mix of tangy, smokey and sweet. Potato salad was good. Cornbread was tasty. Sweet, a little crumbly. Great with a bit of butter. Ordered the Mac and cheese as an extra side dish. It's creamy and peppery. Would've been better if it had more cheese. Would order again but add more cheese to it. Also got the crab dip that is served with toasted bread. It's just OK. Crab meat wasn't as fresh in smell or taste. I think when you're a Maryland restaurant, you really should know how to do crab better.Will have to try other things on the menu. I don't eat beef so I'll have to try the chicken and ribs. Will be sure to update!

Good easy ordering service. Hot food. I think the food is too sweet for my liking of how American BBQ should be. I would prefer more smoked dry rub style on ribs. Brisket is not as fatty I would like it to be. Wings is decent. Pulled pork has sweet sauce mixed in w/ it.

This is one of the best places to come to in Olney Maryland. They have Great customer service, Great food and an amazing restaurant. The dining experience looks like a fantastic place for family and friends and they plan to have an outdoor experience with live entertainment coming soon. This is a great opportunity for the community and visitors to come together and enjoy what they have to offer. They also take care of the first responders and make us feel welcome and appreciated. They also have catering for any special event you have planned. Let them help out with their amazing food options. I only have a picture of the crab Mac because I never have a chance to get a picture of the food before it's gone!! Thanks again for what you do for the community

I had a hankerin' for me some BBQ. My search for "BBQ Near Me" brought this up as the closest. I zig-zagged to Ziggy Lane to Mackie's. Placing my order from their front office, I waited a mere 7 minutes. Their walls are covered with awards and newspaper write-up's. I had a good feeling about this place. Strictly carry out, I made the 6 minute drive home to plate this half-rack. Their Texas Beans were delicious. As you can see from the photographs, I de-boned the ribs without any trouble. As I ate, I contemplated how I'd manage the photo of my messy fingers. I pushed the envelope by deciding to post the pic of the end result. I hope it's not too distasteful. Finger lickin' good I'd say!

I really wanted to like Mackie and initially was impressed, but upon comparing to several others in the area, I would rate Mackie at a 3 or just over, though this is based on a takeout experience from their Gaithersburg location in the industrial area.

The pulled bbq was delicious. The first time I had cole slaw and second time I had potato salad along with the sandwiches. I really enjoyed the cole slaw more than I did with potato salad. OF COURSE, that's my preference. I'll be back for more bbq sandwiches.

Awesome place! A bit on the pricey side though compared to other bbq places. However, the taste and quality were excellent. I ordered the pulled pork and brisket sandwhiches. Along with their wings which were outstanding!!! The beans were also super memorable. I will definitely get everything I ordered this time and more on my next visit. Delicoinesss

Food was amazinnnnnng, got the pulled chicken, and beef brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese. All items were 10/10 Mac was delicious especially. Small business and very sweet nice customer service. Stop here if u have the chance

The bbq brisket is the best!! Very tender and hits the spot! And the pulled chicken is another favorite. You must try these! And don't forget the Mac-n-cheese!! Yummy! We get delivery... and everything arrives just fine. If you're craving authentic bbq, you have to try this place!!
