Mutter paneer (served with rice): Creamy, rich, and mildly flavored. The sauce is luscious and gentle, and the paneer is generous.

Ordered the tikka masala and garlic naan, both of which were delicious! The plates were a bit dirty when I first got them so that's why I'd rate it 4 stars but the food was great!

I love this place. I've come here for several times over several weeks, and it's always a great experience. I order takeout tandoori chicken as spicy as they can make it. It's amazing every time. I appreciate their willingness to accommodate my high spice tolerance. The staff is kind and friendly, and the food is made to order. The restaurant inside has pleasant decor and is a nice space to sit. I highly suggest Lumbini. I will continue to be a regular here.

Out in Baltimore, I am visiting my sister for the week and excited to see what the city has to offer as far as food goes. One place my sister raved about was Lumbini. She doesn't have the same palette as I do for food, but when she mentioned a buffet for $16, she was definitely speaking my language! The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown, and it is dripped out in Indian/Nepalese decor. Really tall ceilings, there are plenty of seats, and even a full functioning bar in the back. My favorite detail in the Lumbini is the huge chandelier hanging in the front of the restaurant.Service was great. There was only one person taking orders and running food out, but it wasn't incredibly busy. Most people were coming for the buffet, and there was no need to take orders for that. The waitress just showed me where the plates were, and I went to work!Wow people the food here is phenomenal, and they have such a wide variety of options for the buffet that it is absolutely a steal. My personal favorites were the Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka, Sang Paneer, and the Samosas. Everything here was amazing. It is somewhere you have to go when visiting Baltimore!

We love Nepali food and were excited to try this restaurant. On Saturday night in downtown Baltimore and we were one of two tables. We order Butter Chicken, Naan, and Momos. This was the best butter chicken we have ever eaten, hands down. The Naan was delicious, too. We weren't able to finish the Momos yet, but the few that we had were tasty.Friendly and fast service. Definitely

This is one of my favorite spots in Lexington Market! The food is incredible, the portions are plenty, and the naan is the best I've ever had. They're really great and kind people here so the customer service is always top notch! Just ask them for a free sample. You need to try this food!

I would have gladly paid $16.95 for sone good good but $16.95 for a mediocre lunch buffet?? No thank you. Had I known it was this much, I would have gone to the Nepal House.

I ordered takeout via DoorDash and chose the Chicken Tikka Masala and Shrimp Korma.. I can't say I was completely satisfied. One thing I've noticed is you do not have the option to select spice level.. That would have been nice to add a kick. The Shrimp Korma came with 5 shrimp and broth the consistency of soup, lacking the nutty flavor and texture I'm used to with Korma across the board. I probably wouldn't order this again. The chicken tikka masala was heavy on the tomato, but not a miss. I should've tried Lamb Saag (my go to option when venturing to new Indian spots).. back to Darbar I go.

Got to try a series of wonderful dishes! Two different kinds of momos (dumplings): fried and steamed - were both flavorful and awesome. I personally liked the steamed ones, but I think many will enjoy the deep fried version of it tossed in spices and sauce. Goat curry was also on point. My favorite was their Nepali style chow mein. Spicy, but the flavor was awesome and I couldn't stop eating it. No worries, because the pudding at the end cleans your pallet and refreshes everything. Great food, kind and timely services, and a welcoming environment for all to enjoy. Check this place out.

I have been going to this testsujt for dine-in/carry out for nearly 5 years and it's always consistently delicious. My favorite is the goat curry(yes, it has bones in it--you get to lick your fingers ). The chicken tikka masala is also very good. One one my favorite Indian restaurants in Baltimore. Definitely worth checking out!

I love living on the same block as this Indian/Nepali restaurant on Charles St. I highly recommend it. They have a solid command of the Indian food basics, reasonable prices, and always provide courteous, attentive service. The lunch buffet is great, whether you sit down for a meal or pay by the pound for a takeout container. The by-the-pound deal is excellent whether you want a full lunch or just a snack. Their online ordering app works well, sending me deals and promos that motivate me. It's a neighborhood treasure, and I'm glad to support it.
