Frituras on frituras!!!! The food was spectacular. I miss Puerto Rican food so much after moving here from New York. This place hit the spot. Cute truck with some outdoor seating. The service was great. The food was so so so good. I need to go back soon.

You have to visit this spot! When I tell you that food = FLAVOR over here, well, you just have to take my word for it! Their Pork Al Caldero Bowl, that you can custom-build, is better than any bowl I've had before! On top of the food being FIRE, the people are genuinely kind. They will graciously answer any questions you have about the menu, and do with a smile and laugh! I used to come here often for lunch.Pro-Tip: If you live for sauce lol, or you just really enjoy it like I do, please try the Rosada, Guava Vinaigrette, and the Island Green Goddess sauces. They are absolutely delicious on top of these bowls.

LOTE 787 was truly my foodie highlight in 2023. I learned about it earlier this summer through a Facebook group for Puerto Ricans in the area, and as soon as I had the opportunity, I stopped by to say hi and give them a taste. Since then, the rest of my year has included plenty of visits to their food truck, and even enjoying their catering services at work. At this point, I've tried almost everything in their menu and all I can say is that their food is AMAZING. It's such a good blend of authentic flavors from the islands, with the more modern take of building your own bowl, adding whatever toppings and sauces you want, and figuring out your favorite combinations. Whether you show up for a meal for yourself to eat right then and there, come through with friends/coworkers, or you're ordering for a group, their service and flavors are consistent, fresh, and communication is top notch. It has been a joy to recommend them to others and hear back about how much they've enjoyed their meals. I'm truly grateful to the LOTE 787/Cane de Sucre team not just for the amazing food, but for the real sense of *comunidad* I've felt every time I get to connect with them. I recommend them without hesitation, and am so excited for their continued success!

I'm late to post this review, but I haven't stopped thinking about this food since my last visit. It's so delicious!!! The tostones and sauce hit the spot and I loved the chicken sofrito bowl, packed with tons of flavor. The last time I had Puerto Rican food was when I visited PR in 2017 so this was a pleasant surprise. Great customer service! They make your food once you order so it's super fresh. 10/10 would recommend :)
