Great portions, friendly staff, and the kind of hours that a Jamaican spot ought to have. Glad I found this place and I look forward to returning. They even had a spot for me to do an impromptu photo shoot while we waited!

Little Island Kitchen has been a low key hit in Moco County!!I've online ordered from here a few times in the recent months, and every time-my order was hot, well packaged, and correct. The jerk chicken breast is flavorful and succulent, the oxtails are tasty with generous portion servings, and the curry shrimp is excellent and served with very nice-sized shrimp. The jerk lamb is also a fantastic choice if you're looking for something a bit different. Im not sure if they prepare their own Jamaican beef patties-but they were tasty too! One reason my review is a bit overdue is because I ordered from them very early on in their business opening, and my beef patties were burnt, and the oxtail portion was ridiculously small. So I made the gracious decision to withhold my yelp grievances, and try them again once they seemed a bit more established. And well, Im glad I did, so a round of applause to Little Island Kitchen.I have not tried their doubles yet...but based on my other food experiences, Im sure they'll be clutch!I visited inside the store once, I believe when they first opened, and it was clean inside, but the customer service was just alright. Hopefully, things have improved since then as well.Highly recommend-Little Island Kitchen!

The food was okay. It did not seen the authentic Jamaican seasoning was on the food. Island Pride on 355 is better. It was my first time at this carryout and it was pricey. I ordered the jerked Salmon and I did not get the meaty part of it that is displayed in their photo..I got the flat end part for 25.00. The curry chicken did not have alot of chicken. It was like 3 pieces of cut chicken breast cut up and no dark meat and alot of potatoes or Yuka I couldn't tell.

I love this place and the people are lovely. The food has become. Increasingly hot. It is nice to have heat and spice but too hot is not an enjoyable meal. When you pay $30 $40 $50 bucks for food, you want to eat it...not suffer each bite. The jerk chicken I had tonight was so covered in spice that I couldn't see it. It was so hot I couldn't eat it. The main dish too hot, the side too hot. Great food but remember paying customers want to eat it. Simmer down on the heat. It is overdone with all due respect.

Been seeing a lot of this place on social media and decided to give them a try! Montgomery Village is a hike from me, but when it comes to food I'm committed! It's in a shopping center with many other biz's, and I was able to park right outside. I walked in and immediately loved the decor. Lots of Caribbean vibes all around! Music was upbeat and blasting, and there's just a few high chairs to sit at for waiting for food... you could eat in theory, but there's not much table space. I walked up and studied the menu and was greeted warmly. I really didn't know what I wanted, but I decided to try the jerk salmon... it was one of the most expensive things on the menu. It took about 15-20 minutes, and I decided to eat it outside nearby. When I opened the tray, I was shocked that it was full of seasoned fries too. It came with a jerky sauce that I thought was some sort of aioli... turns out it was jerk ranch! It was SO GOOD! And the jerk salmon itself? Totally a hit. Spicy and sweet jerk sauce and the texture of the salmon was wonderful! It was $26, so I wouldn't frequent it -- but for special occasions, heck yeah!If you live in the area or are willing to travel, please be sure to try them at least once. So good!

Jerk wings were delicious. Just the right amount of kick to em. I'd say this is the most flavorful food in Montgomery County!

Some of the best Jamaican in the area. Jerk chicken was full of flavor. Same for the curry patty. Coco bread was big. Service was friendly. Food took some time.

This cute little quaint spot is decked out with Caribbean Culture and Caribbean Vibe. The customer service is impeccable! I ordered jerk chicken, rice and peas and picked up brown stew for a friend as I was on my way to see her in a rehab facility nearby. Having a Jamaican background, she gloated of the richness of flavor although it was a tad bit different than the flavors that she's used to in her native Country. My jerk chicken had a nice little spice and the daily deals were priced perfectly for the portion size. Although, this is not a sit down restaurant, their vast menu brought a crowd out simply for takeout. We will certainly order from this spot again.

I often crave this place and my meal didn't disappoint. Ordered a bunch of stuff to share: fried wings, jerk chicken, curry chicken patty, jerk chicken patty, plantains. Very generous portions and cooked to perfection. I wish this place had a buffet, I'd crush it all. They did forget all my sauces (jerk ranch, sweet/spicy) and oxtail gravy, which was pretty disappointing; that oxtail gravy is amazing.
