For reasons unknown, it's easy to overlook Liberatore's. A fairly nondescript storefront nestled in a nondescript shopping center does not help. While Italian food is ethnic, its not as new-fangled and exotic as many other cuisines: my parents knew and liked Italian. So we had not visited Liberatore's in a while but tried their recently relaunched lunch buffet today and were pretty wowed with its quality and diversity. Excellent soup, hot entrees (chicken piccata and pasta) and salad offerings (the tomato and cucumber salad was especially delicious) abound. What it lacks in diversity of selections is more than made up for in the quality and freshness of ingredients. Service was competent and prices ($17 a person) fair for 2025. We prided ourselves on not grossly overeating. It would have been easy to do. One note: even though lunch hours begin at 1130a, the buffet does not get rolling until around Noon. The only thing missing was the tableside visit by the charming and congenial owner, Dante. Maybe he does not work the lunch shift. Anyway, we're going to try to overlook Liberatore's less.

Visited twice and enjoyed the food. I prefer pickup over dining in @ this establishment. A bit dated but clean. Excellent staff and ownership/management. Very hands on

Absolutely awful treatment from the owner. I visited yesterday with my mom and 2 yo. I ordered the Cesar salad, and it didn't taste like it had Cesar dressing so I asked for a side to add. The waiter brought out the dressing and it looked like mayonnaise, I tasted it and it did not taste like the Cesar dressing I have had at any restaurant. It tasted as if it was missing the anchovy salty taste. I asked for a regular side of house dressing to finish the salad but at this point it wasn't a Cesar salad. For the main meal I ordered the cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce. Now, I had visited this restaurant twice before and the first time I got the crab cheese ravioli and loved it, ate the entire meal at the restaurant with no leftovers. A couple months later I visited again for my second time and decided to order the crab ravioli because of how good it was the first time. I got it, had a couple bites and was disappointed, not at all what I had remembered having and figured it must have been the crab sauce that tasted different. I told the waiter and they took the meal off our bill. I was going to order something else but at this point my 2yo was really antsy and waiting for a new meal to be made and served/boxed wasn't an option. Now, the third time I figured I'd just get regular cheese ravioli but with Alfredo sauce since those are my two favorite Italian items. The cheese ravioli came out and after eating one ravioli I realized it was the ravioli. The cheese inside of it is gritty and had a weird chunky texture. I politely told the waitress, and asked for a menu to order something else (I had order food for my 2yo as an appetizer and she was content with sitting and eating so I felt I had the time to order something new). Well the order, Dante, came over and made me completely uncomfortable. He basically said I was always complaining, and that I should just eat it. When I told him why I didn't like the ravioli he said that's cheese ravioli, that's how it's suppose to be made and again told me to just eat it. He stood there as I looked at the menu which made me extremely uncomfortable. He stepped away for a minute, and my mom said that was rude, he shouldn't have said that to you which I agreed! He came back within a few seconds and said how can I help you, and i just said I'd keep the ravioli because I felt so uncomfortable by his response and presence. He replied Good! And walked away. When the waiter came to see if I wanted to order anything else, I told her I was ok and she took the dish away. Dante must have noticed because shortly after the hostess came back with a to-go box in a bag and said Dante wanted you to have this in case you wanted to eat it at home. I was shocked. I couldn't believe his audacity and rudeness and knew he was doing it to be an a**hole, which clearly he is. I will not be returning to this place and supporting an owner who treats patrons the way he treated me. I was hoping to get the same amazing food experience on my first visit which is why I decided to order the same dish two more times but changing the way it was prepared. I had every intention of ordering something to replace the meal and had not even eaten the entire dish before letting the waiter know. Dante's treatment and actions made it clear I would never be returning again and I plan on letting everyone I know who mentions the name Liberatore's in Eldersburg/Westminster about how awful of a man the owner is.

This was our first time here and it did not disappoint. I had salad and shrimp Alfredo. My daughter had salmon served on risotto and we took an order of Alfredo with chicken to go home with us. For dessert we had the cheesecake and the Smith cake. the entire meal was delicious. The host sent over complimentary glasses of champagne as this was our first visit. The service was top notch. Portions are large and prices are very reasonable. We will most definitely be going back.

We found this restaurant several months ago and have enjoyed the Food and the staff have always been welcoming, friendly, and competent. We have been there for eat-in and take out 4-5 times and have been happy with everything each visit. We stopped this Saturday for lunch. After waiting for some time at the door a server approached us and said she was very busy and it would be at least another 5 minutes before she could help us. Seeing there were at least 8 open tables and booths, I asked could we at least sit down while we waited, she sternly said no. She came back later and sat us down. After waiting another 7-8 minutes she came back and asked what we wanted to drink. As we had been there before and knew what we wanted, my wife asked if we could please order everything now. The server looked at her blankly and then walked away without saying word in response. We sat there stunned and watched her help several other tables with a big smile on her face. We put our coats back on and walked out, not sure if we will ever go back.

Our family regularly eats or takes out of Liberatore's. Most of those times Dante has been working the tables. We had baked clams and fra diavolo. We also woke in the middle of the night with horrible cramps and the meal coming out of both ends. We called and spoke to the manager and there was no response, other than "sorry."

Terrible! We went New Year's Eve, started at the bar and had great service. We were then seated in the restaurants oh boy... went downhill from there! We ordered wine and our dishes. First, menu was very limited due to the holiday. I got spaghetti and meatball and my friend got chicken Cristina. My pasta was literally drenched in sauce, hardly no pasta! My dish was lukewarm and tasteless! Our waitress said she'd bring us bread after we ordered, another woman brought us our dishes but no bread! I asked if we could have bread and Parmesan! Where the heck is our waitress?!? My friend's chicken was ok, but lacked sauce... go figure! Our waitress never came back, especially to ask how our meal was! She did bring us the check... guess what? She did not get much of a tip! I highly recommend Pasta Basta up the street, their dishes are huge and come with salad! Libratores does not! Prices are much better and service outstanding at Pasta Basta. We really wanted this night to be good... however it was not. This restaurant was a huge disappointment
