Ledo Pizza

i Came in with my hijab and Asked the grilled chicken salad without bacon. I told her please make sure I don't have bacon. I don't eat pork and then I go to ask her about the lasagna. I've never had it from here before she said yes it's good. I said OK I'll take it. I waited a day. I didn't feel like eating that that night, I took my first bite and realize something was off I took it back and she I told you it had pork in it. I am a muslim that do not eat pork! I would never eat from their establishment again and I used to frequent Ledo, but not shrimp boat facility I'm good. We need more Halal restaurants in my hood. no apology. I believe she was owner/ manager.

The food is fire asf I'm not even gonna lie. It do cost a lil but it be worth the money but how much they give you. The service is good they have about 3-4 ppl servicing ppl. The move pretty fast.

The new shrimp boat plaza is very nice . Breakfast food is extremely good and made to order . Lunch food is buffet style but still fresh . I've observed clean habits including using gloves to cut up and handle fruit . The ordering process is a little disorganized but regulars learn how to navigate it . never order uber eats if you can drive to this location because it's a serious up charge from the in-store prices . staff is friendly and care about quick service ! i always get the french toast platter which comes with eggs and your choice of meat for $10.99 .

I'm so disappointed in this place. I had the chicken and waffles one weekend and they were great. The chicken was seasoned well and fried just right. So I wanted to try something else. I order 1/4 baked chicken with greens and peach cobbler on UberEats and was disappointed. The greens were bland but drowning in black pepper. The cobbler was to sweet and the peaches were hard. And the chicken.... THE CHICKEN WASN'T DONE. I cut into the chicken and it started to bleed. The pics I attached doesn't even show how red and pink it really was. NEVER again. Never again.

As other have mentioned, the Shrimp Boat Plaza is NOT the old Shrimp Boat in any way. New owner, new menu, new everything except for the exterior shell.The new place is a donuts/coffee/fast casual concept with fresh fried donuts, Ethiopian coffee, a hot bar, and made-to-order breakfasts, wraps, and sandwiches. It's clean, bright, and welcoming. The staff are wonderful.So far I have tried the coffee (rich and bold and very hot!) the donuts (extremely good and you can watch them make them in front of you so you know they are right out of the fryer.) and on my latest trip I tried their bacon egg and cheese bagel. They definitely knocked it out of the park on this one. The bagel is gigantic and they are not shy to stuff it full of bacon. My biggest pet peeve about breakfast sandwiches is when they skimp on the bacon, and at Shrimp Boat Plaza they most certainly don't hold back. I live just around the corner, so I'll definitely be a regular customer. It sure is great to have somewhere to grab a quick sandwich to go!

Now Shrimp Boat Plaza, went there after work and got some fried chicken wings with green beans and mashed potatoes. And I wasn't expecting it to be this good, I had gone in the past (before they bought it out) and food was greasy. I was really hungry this day and tired and its just a couple steps from the Benning road metro station. They have an extensive variety of food. They even have pizza! And it looks like the desserts are not made in house but they get must get them every day because I went the next day and the delivery truck was there again so definitely fresh. I got the bean pie and its all thumbs up! So in conclusion whether you are running late and want a bite before work or if you had a long day after work this is the place to go to!Try them!

We had shrimp boat for breakfast and it was soooo good! Chicken wings and waffle and shrimp boat special omelette!

Firstly it's not a real Ledo's it's a store where you can only get takeout (really). The outside makes you want to steer clear of it and the inside isn't any better. Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't good how you can mess up a simple pie of pepperoni and sausage I don't know. It's not as if it was frozen (or was it?) Can't really speak to service because there's only a guy handing a pizza to you. Why folks find this acceptable is beyond me, I definitely don't recommend this place, just travel across the bridge or into Maryland to get a real Ledo's pizza.

Worst excuse for Soul Food I've ever experienced. Collards were uncut and greasy & mushy at the same time. The Salisbury Steak was a luke warm patty reminiscent of Gainsburger with some watery brown liquid masquerading as "hood gravy". The Potato Salad was more like mashed potatoes, but with little trinkets of vegetation dispersed throughout. Plus the isht was $18OUTRAGEOUS ... After about a bite of each component, I threw it directly out.Don't do it. Just DON'T DO IT.

Unfortunately I will longer be a customer of Shrimp Boat. My dogs won't even eat the disgusting over cooked and stale bacon I was given today. Absolutely gross, and very disappointing as I try to shop and get take out from within my neighborhood/Ward.
