Unfortunately, the reviews that say it's a mixed bag are true. If you get items fresh , they are exquisite and every bit as good as Bakehouse. I got a chocolate croissant yesterday at the end of the day and it was as hard and dry as a hockey puck. I took it back and was given a toasted version from one of the remaining. It was edible but it was not fresh and definitely not delightful. This is the second time it's happened with croissants and they refunded me the first time. I also had a lava cake a couple weeks ago that was either old or over baked because it was dry and not much lava. I let that one go because it's easy to over bake a lava cake. The owner has assured me that products are baked fresh daily the first time this happened but croissants don't become hockey pucks in 10 hours. This is extremely frustrating as a customer as I want them to succeed and the place is so cute but given that they are clearly serving old product and not heeding customer feedback, I'm taking my weekday business elsewhere and only going on weekends when I know it will be fresh.

The almond croissants were super delicious and the aesthetics of the bakery were super cute. However, there were some bugs flying inside (likely due to the flowers and notclosing doors so not their fault). The staff were okay, but especially since there weren't that many customers, I expected more intimate service. Overall, I would come to eat here again, but I don't know if it would go out of my way to pick it over any other bakery

We were looking for a bakery and so happy that we found this one! It's very clean and bright inside. So many spaces inside to sit down and just hang out. A large family style table in the center for larger groups. They have board games laying around as well. The music vibe was very chill. Whatever the past reviews were.. I can tell that they elevated and made it way better! Take your chance y'all! We ordered so many pastry's to take home and enjoyed a lemon blueberry pound cake at the cafe with iced coffee and chi latte! Simply delicious!

Limited options and average quality. I was hoping for some options closer to what bakehouse provides downtown Frederick.

This place is a such a mixed bag. Sometimes it's great and sometimes not so much. I've been four times now.All the drinks I've had here are good, but so expensive for what they are.The garlic cream cheese bun is DIVINE. So so good. For as fresh and yummy as it is, it's shocking how bad some of the other pastries, specifically the croissants, are. They taste stale and old- for sure not fresh, and they don't offer to warm them up. In general the ambiance here is chill and casual, perfect for getting a bit of work done or catching up with a friend. Or.... Sometimes it can be like it was last time I was in- people loudly FaceTiming someone at full volume. No one said anything to them for the entire 20+ minute conversation. It's a kid-friendly place so sometimes there can be a lot of screaming/crying/toddlers running loose. Kids being kids, but can be annoying if that's not the vibe you're going for.

This place has potential. It's super cute and comfortable inside. It's spacious inside and they have their own parking lot so you don't have to utilize street parking. They have pretty flowers at each table and relaxing music playing. The bakery items look yummy and the staff is super friendly and nice. However, the menu leaves a bit to be desired. They only serve coffee and not espresso drinks. They only have one type of coffee. It was a dark roast and it wasn't especially hot. They only had sugar and not a variety of sweeteners or syrups. There was only half & half, not milk or almond milk or any other choices. I did not see any gluten free options on the menu. I'm not sure if they will add to their menu later or maybe have ordered an espresso machine and it hasn't arrived yet, but I think once there is some more variety on the menu, this will be a super nice coffee shop to frequent.

This place has definite potential. Great atmosphere, ambience, windows. The place smelled like garbage. Tea tasted old and flavorless. Cake was dry and stale, like it was sitting out since the night before and I'm pretty sure came out of a box. 2 stars for what this place could be..

Not sure if this place used to be a cat-rescue or something... but It smells strongly of cat-litter box when entering and while you're standing inside. I came in for lunch around midday, The cafe food menu is very limited to begin with, and I wasn't able to order the "Lox Toast" because the staff was on break. The pastries look nice, but I can't get over the permeating smell, especially for a food establishment. I recommend an air purifier and deep clean.

After we went to the bakehouse a bit later in the day and it was already sold out we decided to try this spot out. The place is a cafe with lots of small tables and I assume 1 larger communal table. You order at the cashier and they give you a number and place it on your table-- not unlike other bakeries. The quiche (I got a smoked salmon) was good, and the side salad was also good. It was a reasonable portion for its price. I wish I did get a larger size of a more sizable portion though. The toasts were IMHO a bit on the pricier side for what you get-- a slice of sourdough and whatever your topping was. We did take home a bunch of pastries-- which included ham and cheese croissant, a couple of cookies and a slice of the chocolate cake. We do like bakehouse ham and cheese (prosciutto and Gouda) a bit more, this bakery adds a honey mustard to the inside as well as a glaze on the top of the croissant.
