Langston Bar & Grille

I have not been back since they re-opened recently. That being said, I LOVE the food. I have never been disappointed with the food or the staff. The place is small, warm and welcoming. I really like it. My only complaint is the speed of service. I have been four times and every single time it took forever to get our food. This may have changed with the re-open but I can't say. I guess I will have to see when I go back. Like it is so slow you could pre-order from Baltimore, drive to NE DC and take your time parking and maybe your order will be ready. Maybe..But if you have time to sit back, sip on your drinks, chit chat with your party and wait for your food for only God knows how long... I think you should give it a try.

Ordered at 530 pm said it would b ready 12 to 14 minutes cane to pick up. Not ready at 6waied now 616 still waitingtold it was boxed but not terrible service

I provided very clear instructions that I wanted no sauces on the food or on the side. They restaurant did not follow those clear instructions. The chicken wings have NO seasoning. I swear they taste like the batter consists of flour and nothing else. I purchased the "baked" macaroni and cheese. I know my mac and cheese well enough to tell it wasn't baked. They also use really gross cheese in the macaroni. It tastes like it may be American cheese. I will say the food was piping hot when it arrived and it was on time.

One star is actually a stretch, smh. I had a groupon for one appetizer, 2 entree and two drinks. After looking at the menu I was looking forward to the soul food, but as soon as we started ordering there was a laundry list if things they didn't have. So we ordered the salmon cake with grits as an appetizer, I have the whiting with fried okra and sweet potatoe fries(I really wanted the oxtail, but they were out), my fiancé got the chicken and waffles with fries. We'll start with the good: the salmon cake and grits were delicious. Now let's start with the bad: 1. We waited over an hour for our food, in which the appetizer came after we got our food. 2. The food was blander and bland. 3. My fish was cold. 4. We had no utensils. What really made my blood boil was when I gave the waitress my phone to pay with the groupon she returns WITHOUT my phone. I'm like, where is my phone, she says 'oh yea'! Smh!!! So after sitting there for 5mins, I finally get up to look for her with my phone... I go downstairs and after a few minutes she comes out, and was like 'oh yea, your phone, hold on..." REALLY!!!! So that was the last straw for me. I wouldn't recommend anyone going here. I really wanted to like this place but it went downhill from the gate!

This review is for the Langston's at the golf course. I made a seperate location request but somehow Yelp attached it to the resturaunt a block away.I hold a lot of meetings at the local schools in the area. When it was time for lunch, one of the teachers told me to try the grill by the golf course. When I walked in I immediately sensed that this is a local hangout. PRO's: Super Cheap Food, family atmosphere, breakfast served all day. CON's: None

The food wasn't good compared to what I had from the same place a few years ago. There must've been a change in management or chefs. I had the pork chop, Mac and cheese and greens. Yuck.

Now I love this place, but today was the end of my love affair with them. So they had a fish fry today I was so excited about getting my food from them. Until I got my food. Just SAD this is what I got for $10 each. Now the food was good but the portion sizes was very small.

The version of bang bang shrimp and fish sliders are the best. The juke box is a wonderful addition to Girls Night Out!!!! Thanks Lovie for the great bartending experience. Try her special version of the Long Island!!! You know not to many can get a Long Island right, and she on point!!!

We caught them on a bad night but the staff worked hard to please all 7 of us. We were forewarned that a new chef was rushed in for the day. The food was late but all enjoyed their meal except one of us. I'd return just for the hospitality because I know this trip was an anomaly!

Shady neighborhood and bad customer service. Food choices are limited even though the menu has lots of food options most are not available.
