Came in for lunch with my Mother. It was super hot out. I was craving something light and cold. I ordered a small Shrimp cocktail with guacamole. The hot sauce (Valentina) comes on the side. It was PERFECTION. FOOD IS SO GOOD! Service was much better than last time. There were new waitresses, and they were on it. My Mother and i will be eager to have lunch here again while she is visiting from FL.

Came here yesterday looking for barria tacos for my home girl and good food for me. They are in an area where there are quite a few Hispanic businesses so we felt it would be a safe bet. I so love yelp! I saw the pictures of what the restaurant looked like inside and not for those pictures, I would not have went just from looking at it outside. English is their second language and I am okay with that when it comes to food because that means the authenticity meter goes up. My friend had a ride before me and was sitting down with chips and salsa when I arrived. The restaurant was clean but also had a homily feel which I appreciated. After a few minutes the waitress had not returned so I jumped up to grab a menu and decide what I wanted. The menu was in Spanish but had pictures. That with my bad Spanish allowed me to order but I wanted. After some questions I decided upon two carne asada tacos, traditional. Easy, right? Yes! Those were the best tacos I have had in a long time at a restaurant. To meet with tender and there was not a lot of fat or hard in digestible pieces. The salsa verde was spectacular! I wanted to steal it but I kept my composure and remains classy and left it on the table.I actually really enjoyed my food. Must order the napoles and to it with both green sauces.

La Fondita 2 is a "tresor" (treasure)to be discovered. The store front doesn't have much of an appeal (It screams out "Memmbers Only" metaphorically speaking), you need to have faith and audacity to venture inside. Once inside the venue, the sweet smell of flavors from across the southern border had all my senses awakened, what came after was just pure bliss in every bite I took of the lamb taco, the lengua taco, the roasted pork taco and the el pastor taco.I was immensely delighted at the idea that they had a great selection of soups to include the seafood soup ( very close to a cioppino). Why 4 out of 5 then??Well they don't serve alcohol...yet?A good cerveza, a minty mojito and a grandma margarita would definitely make this place a slice of Mexico in our backyard.

Tastes like authentic street tacos from Mexico. I got two lengua tacos. They come with the usual accoutrements - grilled pearl onions, radishes and cucumbers. They are served on grilled flour tortillas. I am going to crave the lengua tacos. I also got a chicken tostada to try but it wasn't very good. I had to douse in the complimentary salsa. I also got flan to try - a very big lunch (lol). Flan was good. Definitely get the lengua tacos.

This is the place you have been looking for. Had the bistec with the best rice and beans I have had ever. My wife is Puerto Rican. Don't tell her I said that. Birria tacos are crazy good. The agua fresca de melon was perfect. I will absolutely be coming back.

Update January 2021: This place is still going strong, even through the pandemic, and is our go-to spot for Mexican take-out. Tacos have actually gotten better, with the plates including sautéed green onions on the side. Their green sauce isn't the same as it used to be, but still adds great flavor to an entrée of carnitas. Service is still awesome, so if you're in the mood for Mexican fare support a local business and give them a try!

Okay... I have to admit that I am addicted to this place. It is truly authentic food and I think what I love is the freshness of their ingredients. To me having freshly cooked corn tortillas and what I call the fat corn tortillas for the huaraches makes a huge difference in the flavors. Yesterday I had a huarache and it was so good. Such simple dish yet that freshly made corn base makes all the difference. It is flat and it is topped with a layer of black beans, meat of your choice ( or not), queso fresco ( mexican crumbling cheese), mexican crema and shredded lettuce. Then you just add your salsa on top and enjoy. Did not take a picture because I was too excited to eat it. BTW lengua lovers the lengua is good here. :)So, remember I said I'm addicted to this place? I went there this morning for breakfast. Delicious too! Their chilaquiles are so good and they are spicy (I cannot as spicy as most Mexicans so if I had to give them a spicy rate I would say 5-6 on a scale of 1-10) . I had them with eggs on top. My boyfriend had the huevos rancheros. They were good too.

My family and I stopped at this place one evening we were looking for something new to try. Boy were we happy we stopped! We record really great customer service from the server and the owner stopped by to make sure we were good too. The server was very attentive and friendly. The food was wonderful! The starter food was chips and salsa. The chips were crunchy and fresh and the salsa was very flavorful; one of the best salsas we've ever had at a restaurant. We did not wait at all to be seated and the food took no time at all. The food was really good; again, flavorful, hot temperature, and authentic. The atmosphere was full of wonderful music and other patrons enjoying their food just like we did. We can't wait to go back!
