NOTE: This place changed and is no longer called L&D. It's now Antojitos La Mexicana. Ok, onto my review!Omg. First of all, as a huge fan of authentic Mexican food, I've made it my mission to try the al pastor at every place I come across that serves it. I've tried them all here in MD, you name it I've had it, starting from the mainstream and big (R&R Taqueria) to the tons of little divey hole-in-the-wall joints where only Spanish is spoken (the little food trucks lining up and down Rt 1, for instance). This place, hands down, is number 1. Goodness I can't even describe how good the tacos are, especially the al pastor. The pork was so tender, delicious, seasoned... it melted in my mouth. The tacos are teeny tiny so keep that in mind when you order, but each taco is a little two-bites of heaven. They accept credit cards and cash. I've had the pupusas here and they're also awesome. Go here now!

Food is good, place is pretty bare bones otherwise. Very no frills environment. Small fixings bar with more ice than anything else on it. The menu boards are a bit crazy as they rotate the items like screensavers, I had to wait a few cycles to properly place my order. Not sure why this was the case as they had a spare monitor next to it that could have easily displayed the entire menu as opposed to soap operas. But the food is pretty good. I'm lustful for tacos and this place was pretty good, prices about average. Not something I'd go out of my way to but if you happen to be in the area it's definitely not a bad option.

This place serves authentic Latin food. From most Latin America. Oh and pizza too, All I had to do was ask and they prepared the food I wanted. I order the pollo con tajadas. Delicious !!!! The coffee one of the best I ever taste, I haven't taste that coffee at any other place I will say that is Unique to this location. Seems to me that is under new management which is good because they Doing a good job in making customers feel welcome. which is the core of any food related business. I will definitely keep coming to this place. I'll try baleadas next time. Oh and the tacos too. I recommend this place

Co-workers suggested this place. They are open 5am to 9pm on weekdays and 9am to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday. The menu includes Mexican and standard American fare. Ask for coffee, it's unique. I decided to try a steak breakfast burrito. It's made to order and much better than the restaurants in this area. The place is clean. The music is a tad loud. Service is very good.

So OK.Just tried this place - ordered 4 tacos, I had one steak, one chicken, one al pastor and one carnitas.#1 hate the tortillas#2 outside of the al pastor the meat is bland, you definitely will need sauce, kinda dry too.Price is good $2.35 each, they are street taco sized though.Wont go out of my way to go there again. Unless it's for pizza

Menu is schizophrenic (lol) but the food is delish. I had a steak/egg/cheese sandwich this morning. Very greasy spoon/diner-ish.... which is exactly what I was hoping for especially considering I just wasn't thrilled with my consideration of the 2 for $4 Croissanwiches from BK. This turned out to be a much nicer option. I also tried their tacos. Pork, steak, carnitas, chicken. All were very well seasoned and on mini soft- shelled corn tortilla. The chicken was dry though, so I envision buying the two types of pork on future visits. The proprietors and staff are Mexican so their tacos are authentic tasting. Fresh pico de gallo at the condiments bar too. Food was so good I came back for lunch for more tacos and to try the gyro. The gyro was unremarkable, so I will reiterate that for me this will be a really good "tacos only" or "breakfast sandwich" spot for me going forward... esp for an area like Jessup.

I went here because a friend asked "Did you see the new spot open on 175?" I'm here to say, L & D serves tacos like I had in Mexico! I tried the steak as recommended by the man taking the order and a carnita taco. Plus, we ordered a pepperoni pizza to get the full experience. One of us even ordered a Pappus for the first time and enjoyed it! My man was all over the "Hot Sauce Bar," yes a bar with different styles and heat variances to suit your needs. There are three (3) tables with the ability to seat four (4) people at each, so you might not be able to enjoy the great service as the food was delivered to the table as soon as it was prepared. Great experience & I will be back!

Stopped here Saturday, March 16th around 5pm. Pretty laid back carryout with booth atmosphere. Greeted at the door, ordered several soft tacos. Best authentic tasting and flavorful tacos, I've tasted all year. Must try the shrimp and al pastor those are beyond delicious, definitely had extra seasoning on them! I haven't had a better taco period! He will also crisp the soft tacos if you request it.

Sooooo disappointed, I really wanted to like this place. I recently discovered I love Pupusas and this is the closest place to where I live. We placed a "to go" order at approx. 7pm. We ordered 1 each, 4 total, Pupusas. None of them were good. They were ok. First - 2 of them appeared to be burned & when I opened the styrofoam container you could smell that something had burned. I remained hopeful b/c they just had some black marks on them & I thought maybe this was their style. Well--- the texture was very rubbery, I'm now wondering if they were old & recooked. We also ordered a chicken torta & Asada torta and the Pozel. Baja use to make a delicious torta but no longer offer it, so I was looking forward to trying a "real" torta. Not good At All!!! The bread was not just crumbly hard it was hard, like it had been recooked & microwaved too long. Also the meat, well, you had to take the sandwich apart to find the little bit of meat in it. I had split the chicken torta with my husband But ended up throwing it away Now on to the Pozole, quite simply, greasy & tasteless. What a bummer, Like I said, I really, really wanted to like this place. Perhaps it was b/c we went late in the day on Saturday 7pm....What a waste of $35.Too soften the blow--- the girl taking our order was friendly

This was a great hole in the wall place. Not fancy but food was delicious and clean. Authentic and cozy. Highly recommend - solely based on quality of food and the love with which it is prepared.
