Amazing spot for a sweet treat and to get some work done. Met up with a friend and we stayed here all afternoon to do work. Cozy vibes, cute aesthetics and smooth music.Personally didn't order anything but my friend got the matcha and she loved it. Love how they have 2 automatic ordering machines in the entrance. It also has pictures so you see what you are ordering.

For $7 they give you LOTS of ice cream and I love it! It's the highlight of kyoto matcha if anything. The other dessert options- would definitely recommend the layered cakes. Very lovely atmosphere, but wouldn't really come here for the drinks (I'm not good with describing taste but they are ok ish).

A great space and wonderful concept. I was immediately attracted by the signage outside. Once inside, customers can use a kiosk to see the selections and to make an order. The servers are ready to answer any questions. I was also impressed that ice cream samples are available if you request. I ordered the hot matcha with 50% sugar. It was delicious. My companion had the Hojicha latte (no sugar).I enjoyed my matcha latte and found the warm and cream drink to be the perfect size. I look forward to going back to try the desserts.

The parfait was great! Loved the textures from the crunchy corn flakes, chewy mochi, spongy cake cubes and sweet/savory ice cream. There's a machine for easy ordering and the mini cakes aee convenient for takeout to bring as host/hostess gifts.

Adorable dessert spot with treats worth the splurge! I tried the cheesecake and the ube towel cake (think crepes and cream)--both were amazing. The interior has a super cute Japanese vibe. Definitely worth checking out!

I love this spot. It is one of my favorite places to get dessert. I crave green tea sweets all the time and this cafe type place has so many options for green tea. They have really yummy drinks too. There is a great parking lot out front so finding parking isn't hard.

Look no further, Kyoto Matcha Ellicott City is the spot.At this location, you can expect friendly customer service, a clean shop, reasonable prices and easy parking out front. Between the locations in Rockville and here, we have tried almost all the items on the menu. With confidence we can say, they have some of the best soft serve ice cream and delicious cakes that are not overly sweet.This shop is a bit intimate, and can get packed at times, especially later in the day it tends to get busier. I have to do an update, bc I've gone back to try a few things and now I really like this place! I've gotten the parfaits with matcha and also with milk cream, and really enjoyed them both. I like how they layer it with red bean, green tea cake and topped with mochi balls. They usually also include corn flakes, but I get it without. They service is so nice, that they are happy to customize the order. The place is cute, showcasing all their desserts. I'll be back soon!

I love Kyoto Matcha , I enjoy visiting all of their locations. I'm super excited about the location opening up in Columbia.MD soon. You just can't get enough matcha. The cashier's are always friendly and its such a tasty treat no more the occasion or time of year. My husband and I love to get the match soft serve ice-cream with the milli layer matcha cake crepe. We also love the Matcha Float with matcha tea base...50% sugar lol I don't like my matcha too sweet and this place offers the perfect balance of sweet and earthy deliciousness. You can even sit down inside and enjoy quality time with friends and loved while and share treats lol At this location parking is pretty good. It's location in a shopping plaza with other cool shops to look into.
