Oh man, Kyo is so incredibly tasty that i want to sing "Hallelujah" with each bite!! The sushi NEVER disappoints. Always fresh and melts in the mouth! Orders are quick to fulfill. Service is always with a smile with minimal wait. The in store ambiance may not be the fanciest but i would put their sushi rolls up against the best of the best. As a side note, i didn't order it this time but, their house fried rice is the bomb!

Kyo Sushi provides a welcome sushi option to the Urbana + Mt. Airy area, serving up an extensive menu with options for all diners. I ordered a sushi-forward meal for carry out, which was ready in about 30min and handed to me as soon as I entered. While I didn't dine in, the staff was welcoming and friendly for the brief minute that was inside.I did find that I needed to order several vegetarian rolls to build a meal given the 6-piece side. he vegetable roll had a great combination of elements for the filling--avocado, cucumber, asparagus and pickled radish. The sushi tasted fresh overall, but comparatively, not the freshest that I've had. The sweet potato roll had a welcome tempura crunch and the sticky sweet topping paired nicely with a dash of soy sauce umami. A side order of edamame completed a solid vegetarian dinner.

Grabbed takeout from here and was trying it for the first time! This sushi place is a hidden gem in Urbana. I enjoyed an order of Haru Maki (vegetarian spring roll) to start which was delicious and crispy! I also had the miso soup which was pretty typical but came nice and piping hot. For sushi I had the sweet potato roll and crunch roll. They were both a good portion size with a nice flavor and texture! The crunch roll--made of shrimp tempura, avocado and eel sauce-- was presented nicely even in a takeout box! My only criticism is that the crunch tobiko topping the roll was a bit stale tasting. I read other reviews that praised their soy sauce and they were right! There is something different about Kyo's soy sauce... it's not just your typical soy sauce it's a little bit more tangy! Yum! It's so good! The order and pick up process was absolutely seamless! I was able to easily order online and they text you when it's ready and as soon as you walk in the door they hand you your order--super convenient! I will definitely be back to try something else off the menu!

The smell when you walk in is questionable. Strong scent of cleaning products. Service was great. We had the crazy girl roll and a salmon roll. They were both good.The kids teriyaki was a large portion. We took most of it home. No complaints there.

Can't tell you how happy I am that we found this place! The sushi is always on the spot, I love it. They do a great job. My wife isn't a fan of sushi, but they have her covered with a hibachi and Chinese food menu. Their specialty rolls are as good as you'd find in Hawaii, New York, wherever. Top notch!

We ordered the double crunch roll and volcano roll. It was delicious and now our top place in Frederick to get our fix for sushi. Services was good. We were greeted and prompt customer services. Menu is big and has variety but we only were in a mood for sushi so ordered sushi today b it do plann no on coming back and trying out other items on the menu. It's a small private business in Urbana but very well maintained with great service.

Was near Sugarloaf Mountain Sunday evening. My gf loves sushi, so I did a search and found Kit Sushi about 15 minutes away. I would highly recommend the restaurant. We knew we were in the right place when all the conversations between the staff were in Japanese. They have a very large menu. My gf ordered the Spicy Miki Combo. While it is an upcharge, she was allowed to substitute brown rice for white rice in the roll. I am not a fan of sushi, so I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken. It was very good and the portion size was so large, I took half of it home for a second meal.Lastly, the service was excellent.

The best Sushi place in the Frederick area, I go here twice a month at least and everything is always amazing. The fish is always fresh and the rolls are a good size. The service is great and very attentive. It is always clean and never too loud despite how busy they always are. I have recommend this place to so many people.
