Kyo Matcha

Having been to the Rockville location many times, I know that Kyo Matcha is always a reliable dessert stop. The interiors are very sleek and clean. There are two kiosks to place orders, in addition to the traditional register. Each time I come, I have to get some sort of bubble tea whether it be hot or cold. I recently ordered the hot milk tea with boba and it was good! The boba quality here is always great. Being known for their matcha, the matcha latte, ice cream and slushes are always so delicious and rich in flavor. The ube towel cake, chocolate crepe layer cake and strawberry milk cap cake are all great. They're the perfect level of sweetness (not too sweet, but also enough to satisfy a sweets craving). I will mention that this location does not have board games like the one in Rockville. I brought a deck of cards to play with friends while we enjoyed our dessert!Easy parking - open lots nearby or a garage.

I'll start by saying I love the combination of matcha and milk! Whether it's a matcha latte or matcha ice cream, the pairing really works for me. On my first visit here I tried the matcha latte and loved itOn this visit, I came with my fiancee on our date night. We saw a few other couples and families there. It is a very welcoming environment. The inside has a very nice, crisp and clean aesthetic.The employees here are friendly and they take their time to hand customers well presented orders. We'll likely be back to try out more from the menu. This could easily become a goto dessert spot for us

great little dessert/bakery spot for tea-related sweets and treats.The vibe is a very instagrammable cute ambiance, with lots of cute little photo ops scattered throughout the dining area. They have a number of offerings that are primarily matcha or tea-based like the name suggests, but also offers some fruit desserts too.Some of the dessert options have the ability to scale the sweetness to your desired liking (0%/50%/100%), but not all of them have that available.I would say it is on the pricier end as far as this genre of food goes, but it is tasty and it's a cute date spot located in the heart of the Merriweather area. Recently open inside Merriweather district. Spacious and clean inside . Appreciate the small touches throughout the store. Service was fast and efficient , only if the young men behind counter can put a little smile on their faces will add a lot more friendliness to the atmosphere.Drinks and Swiss selections are similar to Kyoto Matcha but with a little difference. Everything was delicious and tasty. Given this location is very spacious and has good amount of seatings, this is definitely a good spot for people to hang out or just do some light study or work while enjoying some matcha dishes. Since it's located inside of Merriweather District, so the parking is very convenient with only a short walk from the parking lot to the shop . And surrounded by various restaurants. Highly recommend by @WineDinenVacay

I had a lovely time at KyoMatcha trying all things matcha! My favorite item was the matcha lavender latte, but the crepe cake and roll cake were also very good. Nice kiosk ordering set up and reward earning system. It isn't cheap--each item is around $10 but it's a nice bright place to go to share items and hang out.

Super cute and clean dessert and tea spot next to Colorburst Park. They have cakes, soft serve, teas, lattes, slushies, and other dessert items. The flavors are unique and the employees were kind. They let me try both soft serve flavors I was interested in. I do wish they had more variety in the serving sizes and prices. The sizes were bigger than I would have wanted for how sweet things are.

Came with my family--it's a cool place to get a matcha (cold or hot), boba, or desserts. Store is bright and clean. Cute decor. Located in a very new and nice commercial area called Merriweather District (behind the Pavilion). You will need to use kiosks to order. They prepare the drinks fresh upon receiving the order. Daughter remarked that they prepare the matcha tea "the right way". It took a bit of time, but worth the quality of what you get.

Really tasty soft service! It was surprisingly more filling than expected right after dinner. This place is super cute and aesthetic on the inside. I thought it was a bit pricey but super worth trying if you're craving something sweet.

Do you like matcha?? My obsession with matcha and green tea is so great I drink green tea everyday! When we found a matcha place in MD when we were visiting, we couldn't wait to try and it didn't disappoint.Kyo Matcha is a cute desert place that specializes in matcha everything, on this trip we tried the soft serve (not pictured) but amazing!!, latte, crepe cake (tiramisu) and rolled cake (taro). What I love about the deserts here is it's not so achingly sweet, the sugar is just right. Service was fine but it's such a busy place (both times we came here) so be prepared to wait in a line but it moves fast, ambiance is really nice and clean. Parking could be a challenge here in the weekend as it's a busy area.

I love this new location. The aesthetics are great with all of the green upholstery and the light brown wood around the location. When you enter they have 2 large tablets where you can order. The desserts and drinks come out quickly. They have seating for all party sizes and the desserts were really fresh. I love the soft serves, matcha cheese mousse cake, black bean sesame mousse cake and the black charcoal match roll. The desserts were airy, had great textures and taste fresh. Prices here are reasonable and don't forget to join their rewards program.
