Konstantine’s Greek Taverna

You know how you were real close bosom buddy besties with Valerie in 8th grade because you both thought David Cassidy was so cute? There was just something about Valerie that you liked back in 1973 and now, all these years later, you still have great memories of her and you looking at TigerBeat magazine covers and swooning.Well, that is kind of what it's like with me and Konstantine's Greek Taverna. We just click. Well, of course, it's a Greek restaurant and I am Greek and we're both Greek and Greek cuisine is my favorite food so it's not a far jump to say I would like this place. But I don't just LIKE this place I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! There is something about the restaurant that is perfect!I think it is the ambience, the vibe, the people who work there and - of course - the fantastic food, that makes me feel all good and tingly every time I am there.It is nice but not overly fancy - so you never feel like you have dress up too much. It is so large and accommodating that, somehow, you always seem to get a table no matter when you go there. Guess what, in good weather, if all the tables are full, they just roll out one more table outside to make sure you have a place to sit. And the food, no matter what you order, is always good. Even if you don't order a typical Greek item (although why would you do that???)!!! Anyway, I have been to this place many times. I always feel welcomed, I always love my food, and I always leave full, overly full this time.We took a new friend to Konstantine's and he had a great meal. Guess what, he had 2 great cocktails, 1 great glass of Greek wine, a fantastic appetizer that he is still talking about and a dessert that left him wanting more!For me, it was so nice and lovely that the waitstaff remembered me and my spouse, remembered the last time we were there and they went out of their way to make sure our meal was super. But - to be honest - they make sure that every meal is super regardless of who you are.I have loved Konstantine's from my first bite and last night was no different. I highly recommend Konstantine's!

We have been here a few times. While this neighborhood restaurant is on a beautiful property and has ample parking, their food is a hit or miss and the service is seriously lacking. We have been here on weekend nights where a little band plays Greek tunes beautifully, with their lit up patio the ambience is truly memorable but most other times we have been here have been mediocre. There is rarely enough wait staff. Their lamb chops were good on our last visit, the chicken was extremely dry but the biggest disappointment was a stale pita bread served with an under seasoned Tzatziki!I'm not sure we will be back unless the food and service become a little more consistent.

Went to Konstantine's tonight for dinner with friends. We had a great experience. The restaurant is in a cute area with lots of parking. I am not sure of the history but it may have been originally a home turned into a restaurant. The downstairs area has indoor and outdoor seating. The doors were opened to the outdoor seating and there was a large tent area. There was also a garden area that reminds me of the Elkridge Furnace Inn. Our server was Brett and he was fabulous. I had some questions about the wine and he recommended me two Greek white wines. I can't remember the names but I enjoyed them both.It was Howard County Restaurant week and I ordered from the restaurant week menu. I had had the Greek Fire feta dip with pita, bronzini with broccoli and portokalopita.The food was delicious and the service was awesome. Brett was fabulous and answered all of our questions. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back to try the other entrees.

Cute little Greek restaurant, perfect for brunch or a family dinner. We went for Mother's Day and were very happy with our experience. Good food, great service. The staff were all very friendly.

What wonderful Greek food! From the falafels to the gyro to the salads - everything was delicious. We came in the middle of a Sunday afternoon with no reservations and they seated us without an issue. Our waiter was very patient with us and kept checking on us. Would have loved to sit outside, but there was a Baby shower going on outside.

I've heard great things about Konstantine's and finally got around to trying it myself. The setting is super pretty (the restaurant used to be a home), complete with a lake, big outdoor tent, and covered outdoor seating. I would definitely recommend sitting outside in nice weather (although the interior is also nice and cozy). Our server Anna was awesome, and she gave us some recommendations. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but I think it's worth it factoring everything in. Here's what we ordered:Souvlaki Plate ($22): 4.5/5 3 chicken skewers, pita, salad, fries. This is one of their most popular entrees, which makes sense as it's super tasty (and filling). Yero Plate ($22): 4.5/5 Same thing, but with beef and lamb slices instead of chicken. My mom enjoyed this one! I'll be back to try more!

We usually love it there. We have been a number of times as a couple and brought some family tonight. 2 of us loved our food. 1 did not, and we had our 2-year-old daughter with us. We like the ambience better on the patio and will remember to ask to be seated there in the future.Our server was great, but the food was mixed. Drinks were great. Service was quick, polite, and attentive.My food was delightful - moussaka. One other entree was good - pork medallions. The third - gyro plate - pita was underbaked, salad was dripping dressing and made the pita wet, fries were soggy, food was very salty.We got the kids pizza for our kid. Her pita too was underbaked. Even for a 2-year-old who will make messes of any meal, this one was particularly messy. The underbaked pita combined with a lot of sauce led the pizza to fall apart and the cheese to slide off. It also needed to be in the oven longer - the cheese was melty but not quite enough.Dessert - gluten free chocolate cake - ok, but generally disappointing for the price. The live music is a nice touch, and our whole family enjoyed it, but a bit too loud.Also kind of awkward with seating. We were the first in the inside downstairs dining room. A couple was seated 10 minutes after us but at the table right next to us. Even though the dining room filled up anyway, kind of awkward at that point, especially with how close the table are to each other. It feels like there's room to spread them out a bit.We'll certainly be back. We love it there. We'll just be more particular about some things. And maybe they had an off night tonight.

We ate at Konstantine's on Saturday. Everything was great. The food was tasty and plentiful and the service was fine. However, that changed when we got the bill. We had asked if bread comes with the meal and we were told it did. However, we were charged $0.89 for 6 tiny pieces of pita bread. If we had been told there is a small charge, we would have been fine. But to surprise us like that at the end, for such a trivial amount when each entree was $35 for a half chicken, veggies and potatoes was just a bit much. $0.89-really?Not sure if we will come back here again

Beautiful atmosphere, incredible food, kind people! The gyro was great, fluffy fresh pita and flavorful dips and sauces.
