I used to love this place, but unfortunately, it has gone downhill. The last two times I visited, the establishment was noticeably dirty. There was food on the floors, my husband's plate had leftover food on it, and the table directly across from us was filthy. To make matters worse, there was an overflowing trash can right behind us.I will definitely not be coming back. Do better, Kobe's!

My friend and I were in the mood for some hibachi, so we decided to visit a local restaurant. My friend started with a Mai Tai, while I ordered a Shirley Temple--don't judge me; it's my favorite drink! I also enjoyed the real crab and shrimp tempura rolls, which were delicious. While dining, we met a nice lady named Jeanette from DC. She was down-to-earth and very friendly. We shared sushi with each other, and she had the Aki Maki, which I also found to be quite tasty.Next, we savored our Japanese clear onion soup and a salad with ginger dressing. As we relaxed, we watched our cook put on an entertaining show while preparing our meal. For our entrees, we chose the shrimp hibachi, which comes with fried rice, noodles, and a vegetable medley of onions, carrots, zucchini, and broccoli. It's served with ginger sauce and yum yum sauce, but I personally skip the ginger and always request double yum yum sauce. The food was great, as always, and the portions were more than enough, so we ended up with leftovers for the next day or two. After we finished our meal, we headed home with most of our food because it was quite cold inside the restaurant, which made it a bit uncomfortable to enjoy everything we had ordered.Pros:Entertaining cooksTasty foodGreat drinks Friendly patrons Cons:It was extremely cold in the restaurant

Ordered Kobe for delivery and was pleased overall. The rainbow roll sushi is something I consistently order when ordering sushi so it's good to find a restaurant nearby that can make the roll for a reasonable price. The chicken hibachi was flavorful, so would recommend. My bf had the combo hibachi with a variety of proteins and he seemed to enjoy it. I'm deducing one star because neither of us enjoyed the crabmeat roll unfortunately.

Thurs., 10/3/24: low key birthday dinner for our 27 year old son. HIS choice because we wanted to hit up Nothing Bundt Cakes in the same strip mall (which closed @ 7 so that didn't happen *Sigh*).IMO ... hibachi never gets old. This place is better than Fuji Mountain in a lot of areas but ATP, I'm just out for the food. High expectations in any other category is too unreliable nowadays. In their defense, we did have decent customer service at the hostess stand and bar. This Kobe's location could use a good cleaning/decluttering and it was a lil smaller than I expected but they were efficient in getting the show started and getting y'all on your merry way for the next turnover.

I haven't been to Kobe's in so long....they kind of fell off moving from the Blvd...anyhoo-a friend stopped by last week to show me her new ride and we stopped here for a quick bite! The Dynamite Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll and one more baked roll with shrimp on top...my friend just ordered the California Roll lol and they were all delicious so I ventured back today and thought I'd update my Yelp reviews since I found myself back here. I prefer my rolls with all sauces on the side...but they were all nice and fresh. Maybe I'll venture over more often if this visit goes well...Was greeted with a smile...the host and hostesses were entertaining...I just placed a To Go order...Typical family friendly Hibachi restaurant and not too busy for a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. Happy Yelping!

I always enjoy the food when I come to Kobe's. Today I came here during lunchtime. I thought they would have a lunch menu or maybe even like a lunch special but they didn't. That was a little disappointing, however, the food was still amazing as always. The only downfall that I found was that the chef didn't really put on a show while he was cooking the meal, which is the best part of the experience. The waitress who took our orders was extremely nice and offered suggestions for things. I got the fried vegetables and a chicken and steak hibachi meal. I would suggest that you go during a dinner service or something later in the evening so that you can get the full hibachi experience. They do have a full bar and you can also sit in the bar area or at a table if you're not looking for the hibachi experience.

3.16.24- Dropped in on a Saturday early evening planning to have an adult conversation at the bar. Bar area is GHETTO. The only thing that felt normal was March Madness on the TV. A rowdy group waiting to be seated discussed all the weed they smoke daily, another child's birthday dinner with the gong was happening in the room directly behind the bar, staff constantly loading ice in the industrial strength Island Oasis machine, & workers stacking up to-go orders made it feel more like a private staging area versus a bar for paying customers. Additionally, I requested green tea. Thought I would get a cute little tea kettle. Instead I received a glass of hot water & a COSTCO green tea bag! Charged $3 for it.

Well Yelpers you know who isn't on a diet this year. (Slowly raises hand)Kobe Japanese Steak and Seafood Never ever disappoints. If you frequent this spot, you know you have to come with all the guests in your party so if you're planning a big get together and aren't patient this may not be for you. Anyhow. On to the food. Too much good food every single time. Filet Mignon is my go to and it is always tender. Can't go wrong with a filet. Unsure why there are so many bad reviews, this place is great. The service could use some work, with refills, and staff rushing you out but the food is phenomenal. Kudos to the Chefs who really do magic tricks.

For a vegan this place is negative 2 stars but as an amusing spectacle it earns a couple small stars. Our chef was amusing doing a kind of drunken master, god of cookery pastiche. Huge flames are FUN!Vegan options are terrible. Like astonishingly terrible. If you're an omnivore looking for amusing antics with relatively poor service and lame food you will give this place a third star probably.

Kobe Japanese Steak and Seafood House offers an unforgettable dining experience that always smells incredible the moment you walk in. The seating setup is unique and fun, as you're often matched with strangers across or beside you, adding a social twist to your meal. The sushi is fresh and flavorful, and pairing it with their top-notch fried rice and perfectly cooked noodles creates an unbeatable combo. Also there's always a nice chef cooking your meal so expect that but don't forgot the fact that It's so good there's always a line, so be ready to wait, but the quality and experience make it worth every penny.
