Kitchen On West St

For a hotel bar, this place was very large and quite nice. The bar area is connected to a "dining area" and ultimately connected to the lobby. With it being such a large open area everything echos. Our group isn't the quietest bunch so I'm sure we were getting stares from the other, more refined guests. But no one made us feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. The hotel is within walking distance to downtown restaurants, shops, and bars - it's a great location! Our bartender was great. We only stopped in on our way to Rams Head but if we were looking for a hotel in the area I would definitely consider this place.

The Kitchen on West Street is not your normal hotel restaurant and bar. This restaurant and bar has more of a hometown feel and is almost like my version of Cheers. I frequently dine at the Kitchen and you can always find me at the bar. Erin is one of the best bartenders in Annapolis and she can make you so many special cocktails that you would be pleasantly surprised. While I wish they had more liquor choices, they have the key ingredients. Hopefully they can continue to grow the liquor and wine listings. They have an arrangement of beers with local Maryland beers on Tap. As I've said in my previous short post, they do a sunset toast for everyone sitting at the bar. This has ranged from a toast of a special cocktail to a toast of a special shot of soup. It's pretty fun and it gets everyone at the bar talking. I won't lie, the food at the Kitchen when they first opened was okay. The Head Chef, Roshaad, has really made the meals fantastic. Just the other night, a woman to my right was saying how delicious the burger was. I frequently enjoy the wings while I'm watching the game. Their flatbreads are fantastic and their Chicken Sandwich is super tasty! If you get a chance to stay at the hotel or if you want to get away from the tourist feel of Annapolis, the Kitchen on West Street is your place!

I am staying at hotel and I didn't have the warmest clothes to go walk about. So I stayed here, and glad I did. Nice HH!! Drink specials nicely priced. Mark behind the bar did a fantastic job plus nice to chat with!! Thanks Mark!! Had the hamburger which was delicious. Very tasty and can tell it was Angus beef!! Perfectly done at medium. Would definitely come back.

This is the restaurant in my hotel, downtown Annapolis Hilton Garden Inn. As a Diamond member I get free breakfast and it's usually a B- buffet. This, however, was an order off the menu experience which was even better. I had a sausage and spinach omelette, which was very good. I'm not much of a potatoes a breakfast guy, so I left those alone. Great service, plenty of coffee, no complaints.

Stopped in after work for happy hour apps and drinks with a few colleagues. The service was pretty good-it was quiet when we got there, and our waitress let us sit in the dining room as there were no seats at the bar which was kind of her. Aside from having to ask for water, she was attentive and answered our questions about the menu and food offerings based on our needs. We ordered 2 old fashioneds, the brussel sprouts (w no bacon) and the flatbread. The food and drink were incredible! The sprouts were crispy and the flavor with the blue cheese was complex and the perfect combo of salty and savory. The flatbread was crispy and light and we all enjoyed it as well-comes as 6 slices. The drinks were great and the maple syrup was a great replacement for the sugar. The 'ice' was really a frozen cube of an orange slice and a cherry-points for creativity. I would come to this place, def a solid happy hour! The entrance is accessible, crowd was pretty business orientated since it's in a hotel by downtown, but the ambiance was relaxed and comfortable.

Was here with family. Decent hotel bar. Waitstaff were prompt and attentive. Drinks were good. At the table we had, Mac&Cheese (one with crab one without)... Several folks said it was too creamy and not cheesy enough. The crab bisque was very good. Fries were outstanding. Margareta Pizza was good. Spinach and artichoke dip was interesting and good. Flat Iron steak was tough, cook was anywhere from medium well on one end to medium rare on the other. Grilled asparagus was great. Garlic mash potatoes were OK. The Chocolate cake was also excellent.

I loved the decor of the space. It's modern but you still feel like you are in Annapolis. There were some of my favorite items on the menu and some favorites with a twist. My friends had the Mac and cheese and one friend added shrimp. According to them, it was amazing but I forgot to take a pic! Another friend had the salmon and really liked it. I had the quinoa and beet salad. I forgot to order chicken on it but it didn't need it. There was ample goat cheese and beets and just enough quinoa that you had texture but didn't feel like you were just eating a plate of starch. The presentations were attractive and the serving dishes interesting. The real stars were the appetizers. The Brussels sprouts are to die for. The spinach dip was warm and gooey. And the GIANT hanging pretzel was crusty on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. Delish!

We arrived around 6:30, the bar was very full, no seating and they didn't have any staff for table service. After five or so minutes the bartender came up to us explaining it was only her tonight and asked us to order from the bar. That was no problem for us, as we have been in the industry. We ordered two blood orange crushes, the pulled pork nachos, the grilled cheese and crab cakes. Our drinks were terrible, we couldn't even finish them, there was no blood orange flavor and honestly we aren't ones to leave alcohol at the table. The food was all mediocre at best. Ultimately, if you aren't staying at the Hilton don't waste your time at this restaurant.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Hotel lobby restaurant with awful food and service. Nashville chicken sandwich was two chicken tenders on a roll with ketchup and lettuce. By the way, they didn't have the first two items I actually wanted. One person serves as the server, bartender and bus person. Sloooooowwww. Ambience doesn't exist. Waste of money risk factor 10/10. STAY AWAY. Plenty of great places nearby.

Got there at 5:30 for a reservation and met our friends . Table of 4 . We had drinks and talked for awhile . NO ONE ELSE IN THE RESTAURANT .Ordered 3 crabcake dinners and a steak . Two meals came out about 1/2 an hour later and 10 minutes later the other two came out. Again we're are the only 4 people in the restaurant . When everyone finally got their meals ... the French fries, mashed potatoes , and Brussels sprouts ( by the way , the ONLY vegetable available ), were all COLD ! Not sure how everything was cold when we were the only people in the place so how can our food be cold ?Then the crab cakes ....claw meat , fillers , and red and green peppers ! No true Maryland crabcake has red or green peppers ! NONE ! They were awful !We were embarrassed to take our friends from out of state to ANNAPOLIS , where there are some great seafood restaurants and have them served these awful cakes !I would never recommend this restaurant !!!
