I grew up working near Kensington kabob. It always made me smile when the guys that I worked with would say let's get kabobs. Tonight I stopped by and the man who started the company told me why their meat is so delicious and soft. They use only the best of the part of chicken for their kabobs. It is only the softest part of the chicken breast which makes it the best I have ever had!!! The use chicken breast tender 5 stars only because 10 is not an option

They advertised an all-day wednesday special for $7.99 for chicken kabob wrap, but they charged me $9.99 on a wednesday afternoon . Dishonesty much? This kind of business tactics make it difficult to patronize this local business. Smh. Very nice posters though.

I've grown up going to Kensington Pizza and Kabob and I will say that the quality has declined significantly over the years. The prices are expensive and the food is not flavorful. The pizzas are OK but the kebabs and gyro are definitely not worth it. The rice they serve with the kebabs was not enjoyable and almost like plain boiled rice. Go for the pizza and fries if you want.

I stopped by this place yesterday to get a chicken gyro and it was horrible. The main ingredient in the gyro was lettuce. There was a ton of lettuce!! There was very little tomatoes, onions and chicken. The chicken was bland and tasted like it has been microwaved. They gave me some sauce on the side. Furthermore, the guy at the counter was not friendly nor was he willing to answer any questions. I would avoid this place!

Tried the food here years ago and wasn't that impressed. But they sell beer & wine etc. so I sometimes stop in on the way home from work. Recently I decided to try the gyro sandwich again. It was as good as or better than my go-to at the "Big Greek Cafe." Price was a little high but well worth it. The place also looked very clean and maybe remodeled (?) recently.

This place is also a beer and wine store. I stopped in to grab a 12 pack of beer while I passing by on my way home. That was a mistake and waste of time. The mark up on their beer is beyond ridiculous. They wanted over $27 for a 12-pack of Stella Artois. For comparison, I usually get beer from Belbys where I get a case of Stella for $31. I hate giving a review when I didn't purchase anything but I just wanted to warn others that go looking for a beer and wine store in the area to avoid this place.

I've frequently ordered pizzas from this spot, because it's only a few blocks away from our house. Pizzas have always been good, though I note the prices have inched up. The people who take the orders always seem distracted and have trouble making accurate notes, but I just make sure they repeat everything and then they get it right.Tonight, we decided to try some of their other options: beef gyros and a lamb Kebab with a salad. The beef gyros were on the bland side -- as my husband said, "it's okay...not great...but okay."The lamb kebab was terrible -- very little flavor in the meat and it was very chewy. I'm spoiled by the delicious and tender lamb chunks served by Mehta, the Indian restaurant in Wheaton a short distance away. But the lamb in this kebab was very disappointing. Fortunately, the salad was okay, though it was mostly lettuce with tomato, onion and olives.I'll still order pizzas here, but will skip most of the rest of the menu.

I REGRET coming here. I ordered a chicken kabob which was $16 (no rice, no naan bread, no chickpeas, no sauce). Just the chicken pieces were $16. I was charged +$1 for a side of lettuce. The plate in this picture was nearly $17!! Way too overpriced I've paid lower then this at other real Kabob restaurants with a bigger plate that has (chicken kabob, rice, lettuce, chickpeas, naan bread, and sauce). Kensington Kabob is an overpriced restaurant. The cashier didn't even tell me I would be charge MORE for HIS OFFER of accompanying my plate with either Rice or lettuce. Second, the chicken is not real Kabob. It's not even seasoned properly. It tasted like straight up grilled chicken. This restaurant is way too overpriced. I am NEVER coming back here ever again.
