Being attached to Kungfu tea makes it even more so attractive to come by! Immediate access to milk tea. The fried squid was excellent and you don't often see this part of the squid available so that was a pleasant treat. You can fully taste the fresh seafood flavor as a result. The ramen itself was robust and full of flavor. You can tell the kitchen takes great care to ensure their meats are cooked to perfection with the fatty chashu melting right in my mouth. Will come back to try their other items

Kanji is amongst the smorgasbord of cuisines peppered down Ritchie Highway in Pasadena. Not all ramen is created equal, casual Kanji serves a bowl of broth rich in flavor and packed with generous toppings portioned to ramen. Greeted with a smile and open seating, service was prompt. Presets at the table followed by water and pickled vegetables. Tonkotsu was a generous size and filled to the brim. Aroma oils swirl and folded in the broth, served with tender proteins it was a warm hug of nourish on a very chilly rainy night. Half of a soft boiled egg, wood ear mushrooms, nori, menma, bean sprouts, and spring onions all a delicious symphony in each bite. Generous indeed, kaedama easily for more. The takoyaki was served firm crisp outside and surely burn your tongue savory center. Goodness, mmhmm.Still hungry? This is connected to Kung fu Tea. I was too full to think... I'll have to check it out next time. Cold season is here and ramen is perfect at every slurp. Go get some!Parking is ample and access is up to code.

I was craving ramen so I came to Kanji one evening for dinner. I ordered the shrimp tempura ramen and veg spring rolls as my appetizer. It was pretty good. The broth wasn't spicy enough for me, but the waitstaff was kind enough to bring me sirarcha, which definitely helped. I was the first one in before the rush so service was pretty quick. The ramen even came out before the spring rolls!

I was a bit apprehensive about the 3 star Yelp average; but I'm so glad I ignored them and decided to go lunch there! I got the meat lovers ramen, and it delicious and packed with tender meat. There was chicken, chopped pork and sliced pork belly. I also liked the egg, vegetables, noodles, and broth. The place is new and clean. It is attached to a Kung fu tea, so I even got milk tea for dessert. I enjoyed my lunch there very much. I'll be back,

I just stumbled upon this place and you knew I have to try all ramen spots in the area. They are attached to Kung Fu Tea App and can walk through to either. I grabbed the Shio chicken broth ramen and their bang bang shrimp appetizer.I grabbed my food to go so didn't get the plating which included two nori sheets sticking out the bowl. If it's good then I'll be back to dinner inside.I'll update with pictures of my food and how it stacks up with some other ramen spots when I get home. I'm excited though and two stars for now for the location, welcoming gentleman who took my order although for some reason they didn't think it wise for him to try the food to give an opinion on what he likes and what he recommended, the smells and modest choices on their menu . . .

We really enjoyed our meal here! We ordered pork gyoza, chicken buns, and two ramens- I got the spicy tonkotsu ramen and my husband got the "meat lovers" tonkotsu ramen. We also split some mochi ice cream and took advantage of the collaboration with kung fu tea to order some bubble tea. We sat down and there was table service, but it was casual, and there was plenty of people coming in to order take-out. Only one or two other people sat down to eat while we were there (a Monday evening). Service was fast but well-paced. Everything exceeded our expectations- the food was well-portioned, delicious, and not overly expensive. I am so glad we gave this place a try and we will almost certainly be back!

I don't know if it's just the people working, or the time of day, but the place just seems really unfriendly. It was my first time here, there was no welcoming greeting, just very standoffish attitude. I asked a question or two about a discount I acquired via app. I expressed that I am not placing a "to go" order, but simply ordering through the app in order to use my discount (because it was in-app only) and that I still wanted to dine in. They didn't listen at all and still served my food in a to go container. Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal if it was busy or if they were friendlier people, but unfortunately there were only two people including myself. It wasn't a unique request either. Even when I went to sit at my seat, they had removed my chopsticks, so I simply moved elsewhere. Just weird atmosphere. They seemed a lot more engaging with a couple who came into 20 mins after me, but I don't want to assume anything. Down to when I left, no goodbye, just nothing. It felt so so so unfriendly. The food was okay. I got the Beef Yakisoba. I spent about $14 with my discount applied. There were far too many vegetables over the noodle/meat ratio. The sauce wasn't the typical Yakisoba sauce either. On the menu it said 2 sunny side up eggs, yet I was left with one fried egg. I've had yakisoba before and this isn't really it. It's so Americanized. I shouldn't have expected much because of the location. It was just so mediocre.Don't come here if you like Japanese food and better service. First and last time here. I should've spent my money elsewhere. Or just make it at home.

The best ramen around! Price is low, portions are huge and the broth is delicious. We drive 20 minutes to get here and pass Taichi on the way because this place is more yummy!

The food was was punching above its weight. Portions were generous. My eyes opened in delight with every first bite of each new dish.I ordered four different items and I would get them again. I would have to pack it to go, but I don't care. Only reason I wouldn't get the same things again next time, is because their selection is tempting.I love their ambiance too. Feels like I'm visiting a pleasant side street in Japan... without paying for the airfare.Fan of Ramenya near by, but their chasu have been tough as of late. You won't get that here, and the prices are more competitive.

I have eaten here before and originally thought this was a decent place. They could have handled this differently and I would have potentially eaten here again, because you know, accidents happen. This past order I found large sharp, chunk of plastic in my tonkastu soup. I called and brought the piece in. The owner was all over the place, first saying they would replace with soup or something off the menu. Why would I want more food after I nearly choked on plastic there? I just wanted a refund and they proceeded to say they couldn't refund take out orders and I would need to bring in the trash....who saves takeout trash anticipating they need to bring it in for a refund? Then the owner said she couldn't find anything in the kitchen it would have come from and said I could have placed in there myself! Yes, because I would love to eat plastic. They she figured out how to do a refund but only for $10 and the bowl was $12. The owner was not apologetic at all and couldn't even refund me the entire bowl price let alone my $37 order. You'd think the owner would be nice considering you nearly swallowed a dangerous piece of plastic, not combative and irate. I would HIGHLY recommend you do not go here- unless you'd like to save your trash if you need a *partial* refund after eating plasticUPDATE: The owner falsely said she gave me a refund but never did. When asked where the refund was she said "remove the review and we will give you $10." Atrocious business practices, terrible customer service. I have never encountered a business that was so hard pressed to refund my meal after finding literal trash in my food.
