Judy's Island Grill

I recently visited this and overall had a great experience! The main dishes were absolutely fantastic--the jerk chicken was flavorful and tender, and the curry goat was delicious. The pineapple and ginger drink hit the spot! The rice and peas were perfectly cooked, and everything had that authentic, vibrant carribean flavor that I was craving.However, I did give it 4 stars because some of the side items were a bit disappointing. The coco bread was a little dry, and while the coconut cake had good flavor, it wasn't as moist as I expected. The macaroni and cheese was just okay. Also, the patties were fine, but nothing spectacular.Despite these small letdowns, I would definitely return for the main dishes, which really stole the show. Overall, a solid experience with room for improvement on the sides!

This places food is very delicious but if you arent a patient person. I do not recommend coming here. It is always a wait.

Authentic Jamaican food! The owner will occasionally show up and stop by tables to talk. That ensures you have a good eating experience. It gets crowded around noon so I usually wait until after 1 to dine in. Worth the drive to try this wonderful Jamaican restaurant.

Great service great food had Ackee &salt fish was seasoned well fired dumplings were great. I highly recommend. Also the restaurant was clean and great music in the background.

Oh, how I love me some Judy's! My favorite place to be to get that delicious red pea soup on Saturdays, and feel like I'm at home! A taste of Jamaica in every bite, and the warm food to fill my tummy, what more can you ask for. The combination will make you want to come back everytime. The service is great too, I had a chance to speak to the manager the first time I visited and her hospitality and customer service was stellar. Wish I recalled her name, but I had to tip her it was so good. The food was amazing, I need to come back and get those eggrolls again soon during happy hour! The ambiance is chill, a restaurant, and I can't wait to see what more is in store for Judy's!

I dined at Judy's Island Grill and it was better than I expected. Jamaican food in the DMV has been a hit or miss for me. I ordered the jerk chicken with sweet plantains and rice and peas, and it was pretty good. The rice and peas were well cooked and seasoned throughout. The sauce on the chicken was pretty good. The dish was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of spice to give it a kick. The other guests with me tried the beef stew and jerk chicken Rasta pasta. They were both satisfied and commented that the dishes were full of flavor. While the service was just okay, the quality of the food made up for it.

This was my first time eating here which I ordered from Uber eats. I felt the price was a little expensive for a regular size meal. I ordered oxtails rice and peas with sweet plantains. The plantains were on point just the way I like it. The oxtails which is one of my favorite foods to eat weren't tender at all. Each one was a little tough. The rice wasn't cooked the best . But overall the flavoring was a little spicy which is a plus for me.

I ordered off of uber eats so I can't say much about the actual restaurant But the fooddddd yeah the food is bussin bussin!! I'm here for the weekend from Texas and this place caught my eye The oxtail fell off the bone ! Full of flavor . FLAVORRRRRRRRThe plantain sweet nice and ripe perfect like I like it! The patty was smaller then what they give in Texas but it was delicious The rice was average nothing special The chicken was good didn't like the sauce on top by itself but on the chicken delicious and had a little kick I recommend !

RIP OFF. Food was not fresh. Expected more food for $30.00. Wanted to call the health department as well as ICE.
