I called to inquiring about pricing for trays of food. The woman was rude and before I could ask my last question she hung up the phone. I used to frequent this place during the lunch rush. Now I will go elsewhere for my jollof rice and chicken. How do you expect customers when your customer service over the phone is poor?

I Love this place . I've had suya around the town but this place tops them all. Very moist and well seasoned pieces. Keeps you coming back for more.

The reason I rate 1 star the food was not good at all . now I love African food from Nigerian to sierra Leon to ghana, to Liberia there all so yummy idk if its because its a restaurant so the food taste nothing like cooking from home ...the food had no seasoning no taste idk maybe it was because we came at 10pm something but I was very disappointed I work with too many Africans and have too many african froends and have tasted so many food that this really upset me..and I ask for some spicy sauce to add to my food they forgot to pack that the chicken and goat meat was very chewy I will come back during day time to see if its a difference and hopefully will fix my rating...

Walked into this place on a freezing cold night feeling kind of bleh and left feeling really good. :)It's got a simple decor but the food is good and we enjoyed the red stew with chicken and jollof rice. It came with fried plantain and was of very decent size. The chicken is served on the bone and there is quite a lot of fat but this is easily cut off. My boyfriend did find it dry but the dish came with so much sauce, it wasn't a problem for me.The manager (owner?) and waitress were very friendly and happy to explain everything on the menu to us. They were lovely people and I'd really like to go back when I'm next in the area.

Delicious meal. This woman Joan can cook. Everything was cooked to perfection, tender tasty. I ordered Egusi soup!!! She was kind and had great service too. It's also one of the less expensive places I've seen. I'll be gone my back today. I want to sample some other dishes brcausr I know that they will be just as good.

I can always rely on Jolly Cafe for a variety of authentic Nigerian food when I'm craving a taste of home (#naijagirl). I love their jollof rice with chicken/beef, pounded yam and efo, and beans (ewa) and plantain. My husband LOVES their suya. I usually call ahead for pick up but there is a clean, pleasant dining room where I've seen several people enjoying their meals. The service is good as the owner is usually the person ready to greet you at the counter. They are also open quite late which is a nice perk. If you're looking for tasty, fresh Nigerian food, make a trip to Jolly Cafe.
