Johnny's Sushi House

This place was a beacon of light in a sea of pizza parlors. We came in with a party of 8 bracing for the wait list impact. 30 min... ok understandable we are coming in with a big party. But by some change in fate we were able to get seated in under 5 min. Once we sat we ordered our food and again by some miracle the food came out with the quickness. You have to understand something - we had 4 kids in our group so to be seated quickly and our food come out in the blink of an eye- I mean it almost brought a tear to my eye. The kids ate well and the parents were able to actually talk and consume a hot meal. Thank you for a great dinner experience! I highly recommend this place - esp if you are staying at great wolf lodge.

Great food option around this area. We went to Great Wolf and needed to venture out to see other food options. This restaurant is not opened on Mondays. We cane here on a Tuesday during lunch and it was pretty empty. The restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating which were great options! We were seated immediately but the staff was not as attentive. There is plenty of parking. They also have a lunch special menu with reasonable prices. The kids menu also had great options. I got the 4 rolls: salmon, eel and tempura. Overall, I enjoyed the food as the portions are generous and the food was delicious!

This is always a stop when we visit this area. We have dined here and also done take out. Both times we had great service. We really enjoyed the fried rice here and sushi. Don't let the outside fool you! The inside is cute and very clean. You order everything on your phone and the server brings it out to your table. Tables also include all you need such as extra utensils, napkins, plates., etc. I would highly recommend!

You remember that old saying of don't judge a book by its cover....well this is that place you shouldn't judge by the outside. From the outside you may not think they would have amazing sushi, well I am here to tell you it is great!! They have several different rolls you can choose from and they have specials during the week you can look out for. Thursday's are the half off specialty rolls which is a great perk!! They do offer lunch specials that offer a ton of food also! I have ordered to go several times and they will make sure to package your food with care!! I have ordered from here several times and have even ate inside twice. They have seating close by the area the employees that roll the sushi and there is seating on the opposite side as well. They also have some limited outdoor seating as well. I took a star off because sometimes the owners kid is there and is back behind the counter doing things I would think shouldn't be allowed in an establishment. Also during the cold months if you sit on the side furthest from where you order, the have blowing heaters, so if you are cold natured it may be chilly in that section as the heater doesn't blow in all directions. All in all this is a great location. The people behind the counter are pleasant and make sure to take care of you.

Really great sushi! You would never guess this place is as good as it is. Doesn't look like much when you drive up but definitely worth a visit. My favorite was the Halloween roll. Can't go wrong with some spicy tuna topped with jalapeno! The chicken fried rice is great as well.I highly recommend this spot.

Second time for takeout. The name and outside of this restaurant is misleading so it is easy to dismiss it. We tried it based on another local friend's recommendation. The inside isn't much so I find it better to order takeout. There are a ton of sushi roll choices it can be overwhelming. They offer two without rice for those who are doing low carb or keto. I have found all the rolls nice and fresh. The sashimi sampler is definitely well portioned for one person to have as an entree. I would not recommend the teriyaki chicken though. It was just so-so in comparison. I would order again anytime.

I love Johnny's so much! First off you know in this neck of the woods the options are very limited, but Johnny's is a hidden gem. The girls up front are always so pleasant! The intimate ambiance is a winner. The food is so yummy and fresh! This keeps me from having to drive far to get good sushi! We love this place!

Upon entry, I thought it was a small place with limited seating. Once we turned the corner, there was so much more seating than I anticipated. The staff members were really friendly as well! We ordered crab rangoons, a salmon roll, and a spicy tuna roll. Typically, this would not fill me but the portions were huge. The crab rangoons were filled and definitely hit the spot after working out since they were sweet, salty, creamy, and crispy. I have been ordering salmon at every sushi restaurant to see if I like salmon sushi because everyone is always raving about it, but it was never really for me. After ordering it from Johnny's, I discovered that I do like salmon sushi but only if it's fresh. Not only that, but these were some of the largest salmon pieces I've ever seen. The spicy tuna roll was made well and I enjoyed it very much because the taste and texture of the roll was perfect. These too, were larger than what I typically see! Overall, it's a nice local sushi shop in the area and will stop by again if I'm visiting my friend again.

TtThis place always has great food. We enjoy the Bento Boxes and the terrific sushi too. Many of our friends have come here, over the years, and enjoyed the super fresh sushi with us. If you are a sushi lover you have to come here. It doesn't look like much on the outside but the food is great and the servers are super nice too.

The food was above average. However, the service was not. They weren't unfriendly anything but the servers never came back after they placed the food on our table. I guess they figured we order our food online, hence, no need to come back to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything else. They were very young and looked inexperienced.
