I stopped by John Brown Coffee for an afternoon pick me up last Friday after seeing it when I had visited the John Brown General and Butchery next door earlier in the week. It's tiny. Actually tiny - just a to go ordering window and a picnic table outside. (So not a location for reading/working/studying!) But the coffee menu has everything you need, and the service is great. I enjoyed my visit and my London Fog. I'm sure I'll be back soon for another coffee on the go!

I drive by this charming little place all the time and have never stopped in until today. I was meeting a friend and didn't realize it was a walk up with limited breakfast items (they had three muffins left and some cookies). Hot coffee at a walk up during a Baltimore heat wave is not that appealing, but the butchery next door was open, and they welcomed me and my friend in to enjoy our treats at a table in the back. So nice! The girl that took our order here and made our drinks was super friendly and had a unique style which I loved. My latte was very good, as was the berry muffin. I'll definitely stop back here for coffee and treats to go. An added bonus is the Misty Valley Farms across the street where you can stock up on locally grown fresh fruits and vegis!

Shortly after visiting the John Browns butchery, I ventured over to the coffee shop. The area is small where you'd order, by the offerings are plentiful. I went with a latte and a slice of the cornmeal blueberry lemon blondie. The latte was well balanced and smooth. I'm not a coffee drinker but when I do I only partake in quality options. The cornmeal blondie was dense and fresh, with huge bluberries and best of all not overly sweet. Both were very good. Definitely check them out if you're in the area.

Always a great place to come and grab some coffee year round. They have some of the "normal"suspects but also have amazing and creative seasonal syrups like coconut cream and their normal caramel is from local fave mouth party. Scones cookie etc can also be found - we love the snickerdoodle

My Wife and I came here after visiting the butchery and enjoying some delicious food to find this neat little gem. There's no indoor seating, plenty of seating out front, but they make some delicious drinks. We got a caramel macchiato and a cold brew. They had different selections of milk for the lactose intolerant like us, The Wife got her cold brew with Oat Milk and I had Almond Milk for my Macchiato. There was a team of two gentlemen inside of the tiny building that appeared to work well together, and got us our orders expeditiously. It's definitely worth a visit.

Still amazing and thriving in COVID times. We live to see it!I was so nervous about visiting here during COVID because of the size. They have their process down to a science and NO you cannot go inside. That wouldn't be safe for the baristas or yourself all things considered. Worth the stop! Go early or later or you will be waiting for some time. The line is often through the parking lot on mornings.

Really small, really cute, really good. John Brown Coffee is a tiiiiiiiiny coffeeshop in an old stone outbuilding of the larger John Brown General and Buchery in Cockysville Maryland. The pastries are incredible though!! They are very seasonal, and change weekly. Also, there is a small supply and once they are sold out of something they are sold out! Perk of going earlier to make sure you get what you want. I've had amazing orange blossom cinnamon buns, cookies, scones, and apple fritters from here, and can't want to go back to try more. A tip is to look on their instagram to see the menu of the day because as I mentioned it is variable. Also do not be surprised if there is a short wait as it is maybe the best coffee for miles! Bring a coat as the wait is outdoors. Nearby is the butcher and general stop which I highly recommend checking out - they have lovely cuts of meat and frozen stocks for purchase along with other goods and one of the best damn burgers I've had for lunch (doesn't start till 11:30 though). While you're in the area if the weather is fair please check out the Oregon Ridge Nature Center - nice place for a walk or short hike outdoors - can be anywhere between 1 mile or 3 miles depending on which route you pick.

Usually on the weekdays , they have the cookie, a type of savory scone and a sweet pastry then over the weekend , the lady by the counter said they have a whole lot more options for bakery items.

Look no further... kinda the perfect spot. Excellent lattes and cranberry orange scone. Quaint little stone building. Full covid protection and touch free. You order at the door one order at a time and they make your order then call u when it's set- no wait at all. They're already making your coffee when you order it. Super friendly staff of two chatting you up while you order and pay. Wonderful experience. Covered outdoor seating . ( no indoor seating) a must stop if you're in the area.
