Looking for a Chinese style sit in restaurant this one could be for you. Nestled in the back of Greenspring station there is plenty of parking. No reservations needed. Upon entry you are greeted and seated quickly. The menu is full of all your favorites and more. The fried rice is a go to, the small (pictured)could feed 2 people. I also got the General Tso Shrimp, and the Crabmeat Wonton all delish. If in the area try them out .

The food has gotten bland and amercanized. Sadly the staff have become complacent and almost dismissive of customers needs.Overpriced for warm mush.

Save your taste buds... and your wallet.Joey Chiu's looks like a nice place on the outside. Upon entering you're greeted by a bar and it gives you a slight sports bar feeling. Not the vibe I personally want from my Chinese food place but to each their own. Further entering the establishment you get the feeling that they cater to nicer gatherings like large corporation meals or smaller business meals. If you're me you start to think more positively about the place. Sure the sports bar entrance was weird but surely they know what they're doing if they cater to the business world.Upon sitting down you're given a menu and a plate of chips and sauces (sweet and spicy) are dropped off. It's been ages since I've had this particular table snack at an Asian place and my hopes continue to rise.We look up the difference between chow mein and lo mein online because we remember one of them is supposed to be fried and crunchier than the other. Chow mein it is. We decided to splurge and get an appetizer. And then the food comes out and our hopes shatter. What we got:Chicken lettuce wraps - 2.5* this was not the stellar entrance to an exquisite dining experience I was anticipating. The chicken was average and came in a stir fry of cooked frozen vegetables. A large hunk of lettuce and sauce came on the side. I think to myself, PF Chang's does better.Chicken chow mein - 0.5-1* the dish had no noodles in it at all. Instead, a small bowl of short, store bought fried chow mein noodles was placed next to the plate. You know, the kind people sprinkle on their homemade Asian inspired salads? The dish was slimy and flavorless and after a few attempts to eat it, and one attempt to flavor it with a spicy chili sauce, we didn't touch it the rest of the meal.Mongolian beef - 3* this was by far the best dish of the night. But I've had cheaper corner-store Chinese restaurants do better. I wouldn't put much weight in this rating but it was the highlight of the meal. But what about the rice? Surely they couldn't mess up the rice. Well, that depends on who you ask. Mine was your regular average plain old rice. The usual side to your saucey Chinese dish. I silently rolled my eyes when my partner complained about his rice. He then walked back his statement saying he must just be super negative about the overall experience because the food was down right awful. And then, as we were getting ready to go, I tried his rice. And it was bad. It was a bit harder, as if it had been dished up and left out. And my heart broke for him. They even got the RICE wrong.

Very clean. The food was amazing. Also a very nice view out the window of a stream if you sit at a table. We had Orange Chicken and the Puu Puu tray. The only problem was the customer service. Took 20 minutes from when we sat down to when the waiter came and we placed the order and then another 20 minutes to get the food. Pretty good overall. Would recommend, but only if you're patient.

I am not usually a lover of Chinese food but this place is by far my favorite place and I don't eat Chinese food from anywhere else! The service is great and the food is always hot and fresh! The chicken is white meat chicken breast and the portions are huge. The ambiance is nice too. You can get cozy date night vibes or go with a large group. I also love that there's adequate parking. I usually get sushi and general tso chicken. Can't go wrong with either of those!

Disappointed on a rainy Friday late lunch. Not crowded at the bar, but tight and uncomfortable seating. Literally had to squeeze past 3 seated and one standing customer to get to seats. We entered unnoticed and had to wait 8 to 10 minutes to attract a server. Food was plentiful but only average...except for the soups. The soups were outstanding. My wife ordered the chicken in lettuce and I had the house noodles. Our delicious soups were hot and sour and wonton. Service was fine after we got someone's attention. Good parking area with several HC spots. Seemed to be a full alcohol bar, but no draft beer. We drank water. We were checking it out for possible future visits with our full family. We will take a pass on that idea.

Best American Chinese food in the Baltimore area. Peking Duck is very good and not overpriced. Dishes are not over sauced. Can get crowded at dinner time.

Went with a large group (8) and they were over busy and they gave us a separate room which was great for us and other diners. AND they didn't ignore us. Our server came quite often so we were never seeking her out. Drinks refreshed and on top of things. Several got traditional food and I ordered the bird's nest and shrimp toast and had a very filling dish as well as delicious lunch the following day.Food was served hot and quickly after we ordered. We will definitely be returning.

Plenty of parking. Make a reservation because this place can get busy. Even so , service is good. Portion's are enough to take home for an additional meal. And if you want to make an adjustment to their dish , they will happily do it.
