The service is great, super friendly and quick. Unfortunately, the jerk chicken bowl we had was not good. I admit, maybe my boyfriend didn't fully understand what he was ordering. All he wanted was some chicken. He doesn't like cabbage. He's diabetic so he doesn't eat rice. But the bowl was mostly full of those things. The chicken was HEAVILY spiced with a paste that was probably Grace brand, which you can get at any grocery store, and isn't that good. All you want is all-spice and scotch bonnet. Also the heat level was too much for us, which is saying a lot considering how many peppers we consume. I did like that the chicken was boneless. We ended up throwing a good portion of it away, and we are loathe to do that. With the selection of other merchants available in Lexington Market, I recommend you skip this place and try something else, unless spicy AF chicken and cabbage/rice is your jam. Cuz I suspect many people do love that.

I don't think one Jamaican signed off on this. I tend to rate Jamaican restaurants by the quality of their jerk chicken and this was absolutely below mid. No love or like was included with cooking. I come from a Jamaican family and this is 3-day old warmed up Trader Joe's jerk chicken, at best. But what really had me tight was the rice. Rice- instant and no peas, coconut milk or anything remotely close to a human making it (my ancestors cursed me out good for even trying it) 1-/10 Jerk chicken- just look at it. I had high expectations. 2/10 Cabbage- terrible and overcooked with too much curry. 1/10 Customer Service- 6/10 I woke up from my nap to write this one. How dare you be in a fabulous location and serve jerk chicken like this?? I want folks to really take running a business seriously. That is a lot of work to put into running one and to have bad quality like this is heartbreaking for BOBs. I would expect this quality in South Dakota where folks may not know better. I got to give it to them, they have heart to set up in Lexington market with this pedestrian food.

This review is for the one inside the new Lexington market location and not the food truck. The location is new, nice and clean. The workers here are very friendly and welcoming. I ordered jerk and curry chicken combo which cost me about $20. The food was good but it was little too salty for me. Also I think it's on pricier end for the portion but I think everything in the new market is more pricier than the old market unfortunately.

Got two chicken and two beef patties to taste test. Each pattie was good sized. The casting was nicely baked and the fillings were savory with nice curry flavor. Little bit expensive at about $4.00 each. I like to try other items when we return to Lexington Maeket.

I decided to take a quick walk over to Eager Park for lunch with a hankering for some Jamaican food the last few days and ran into JBees! The owner was assisting customers placing orders, he was very helpful and offered to let me sample their Jerk Fries! I ultimately decided on the J'Bees Jerk Kingston Fish and Shrimp sandwich on Coco bread. DELICIOUS! The seasoning, flavor, and preparation of this was great! While waiting the owner also mentioned he will have a stall in the NEW Lexington Market that is expected to open Fall 2022. Check them out on IG @jbees_jamaican_me_crazy and visit them you wont be disappointed!

Decided to bounce into the new Lexington Market this afternoon. When I saw the name of this establishment, it reminded me of WFIT-FM's DJ Elton "EASY" Thomas' broadcast, Jamaican Me Crazy. So I decided to offer this establishment a lap. How could I go wrong with the aura of Elton Thomas bouncing around in my frontal lobes? I've been josin' for a Jamaican Beef Patty for weeks. Beef Patties are my litmus test for a return visit. Ja, I will be back. IRIE! The GORGEOUS Beef Patty gets an A! This obvious labor of love, priced-just-right ($3.25) perfectly seasoned, fluffy, flaky pastry and spiced-just-right beef filling didn't require a hot sauce embellishment--but I bet a kiss of a Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce would have certainly taken this comestible over the top!! The patty had me waxing nostalgic of the futbol/soccer Sunday post-training midday potluck lunches-meals my Jamaican and Caribbean pals used to whip up. Good thing I only purchased one, because I could have EASILY decimated, two, three, four,... you get the idea. NOTE: Yes, there are dishes with the bona fide Scotch Bonnet Peppers, I hear. Probably not a good idea to go at lunchtime, for now--albeit the four stars. They're still trying to dial-in the expediting process.

The owner is exceptionally bold in his assertion that he has the"best fish sandwich, that will change your life"... Being from NY, I was not impressed with his claims. Always down for a challenge however, I ordered one. The photos do this sandwich NO Justice. Perfectly seasoned, crispy batter, fish sandwich fried with the most amazing melt in your mouth juicy impeccably cooked center. This sandwich is a game changer. It reminds you of a po'boy in Jamaica. Island flavor mixed with the right amount of spice... They complement each other, not compete. I felt like I was on the beach, sand between my toes, the sun kissing my skin, biting into one of the most delicious fish sandwiches I've ever had. Will it change your life? It will surely have me searching for this food truck whenever I'm back in Maryland. I now want, no NEED to try everything on the menu. Just eat here...I promise, you won't be disappointed

This food truck!!! Talk about slap ya momma good! Omg it was absolutely delicious! I had a fish and shrimp poboy and it was absolutely the best poboy I've ever had! I also tried their jerk fries and it was so good! It was a potato cut into wedges with his famous jerk sauce and 20 different Jamaican herbs. The perfect amount of seasoning and spice, so filling, and absolutely worth it. I had half of the sandwich and was stuffed but had to take another bite of the other side. I can't wait to have it again!

One star! Service is horrible! Takes forever for food that's ALREADY cooked. Stood in line 10 minutes, waited 20, and still didn't give me everything I ordered. I asked for a beef pattie with my order. He was so overwhelmed I guess he didn't hear me. A lot of us are on lunch break, we don't want to spend half of it waiting on our food. Everyone in line was saying, this food BETTER be good for as long as we waited. Got the food and it was NOT good. Then I found a hair. I was so put off, didn't even go back to complain. I just won't spend any more of my time or money here!
