Friendly, attentive, welcoming staff. Bright, stylish, plants, and good indie music. We are very happy to have finally tried Java Nation. Its name sounds like a generic coffee shop chain, but this place is anything but. Excellent attention to detail. Very good food which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a full bar. Highly recommend.

Yelp doesn't differentiate the operating hours between the café (Java Express) and their full restaurant (Java Restobar) next door. I posted the hours in the photo section. I stopped in after 5pm to get dessert to go. The cafe was closed, but I picked it up from the bar. The restaurant is really classy. Much nicer (and more expensive) than their Kensington location. There is some construction going on across the street so when I went, it was dark out and I had to loop around to make my way back to the parking garage and there are actually two of them. One is directly across from the restaurant, but I parked in the other one, not realizing the other one was there. You pay by license plate, with one hour being the minimum you can book. It's $1.00/hr. I miss the days when the coin meters were here. I could have just put a quarter in, and be back in a flash. My tiramisu was elegant and delicious. Should be for $9.00. It was a special treat after a long month of testing students at school. The menu looked enticing so I do plan to come back and try the mushroom ravioli if it's not an occasional item on the menu.

I've been to this Java Nation location several times and have had a lovely experience each time. I've done solo dates to telework and also brought my family to enjoy a beautiful Sunday lunch. Everyone is pleasant and attentive from the hostess to the waiter.Today my waiter was Cristian, he was perfect. His service was timely, but not bothersome. He has a welcoming personality and is very accommodating.I look forward to bringing more people here!

Nice brunch spot in Silver Spring. The food portions were ok .... Parking garage across the street free on Sundays ..... it was very busy.... But everyone that works there was attentive..... you won't say no one acknowledged me.... I got steak and eggs it was just ok.... I did taste the beef empanadas they were amazing ..... the margarita flight did what it was supposed to do as well they were tiny little cup full of taste and power .... My favorite was the spicy one.... I also did an expresso shot of the elixir beans ..... they smelled so good so I had to and it was tasty... I like coffee straight up....

True to its name, the cappuccinos here are amazing. As is the food and service. They also have live music sometimes during dinner time. Most of the food I've tried here is amazing, including the quiche (breakfast), spinach dip, fries (seasoned to perfection), and quinoa bowl with ribeye (see picture), whole brazino (very good but needed a bump of salt). Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the DMV; even the kids love it!

This is a really cute spot. Was here with some girlfriends and my almost 2 month old baby for breakfast. Service was warm and attentive. Food was tasty. I tried my friend's fries and ordered the ham and spinach Benedict. I also ordered the lavender honey latte with oat milk. Since I was preoccupied with my baby, I only took a few bites of my food and didn't finish it until I got home later. Unfortunately, there was egg shell in my Benedict, and it was a huge piece. I'm so bummed. Thought I had found a new regular brunch spot.

The barista at the to-go counter was very sweet and informative. Both the restaurant and to-go area was decorated nicely and had a friendly atmosphere--I really liked the area was shaded so even in a hot day you can be in a shaded area and enjoy the ambiance. I ordered the Golden Milk to try something new, I was not the biggest fan. It was very oaty, and the added sweetener wasn't as much as I would have liked. If I order it again, I would definitely have to add an additional sweetener as I like my drinks a bit more sweet. It is a good substitution for coffee or for those who enjoy a hot drink but aren't fans of hot chocolate or tea.

My favorite spot in DTSS! Ambience, live music, lots of seating options, good food, extensive drink (coffee, alcoholic, and mocktails) menu. Great for doing work. Best of all the staff is so lovely and attentive. Special shout out to the lovely hostess Laniyah who always makes our day!!!
