Seolleongtang always hits the spot especially at night! This place is really good and it has that refreshing soup feel, IYKYK. I haven't eaten inside because it's small but always did carry out -- but the service is always great.

Tons of free parking. Accepts cash and credit card.Coming into town, there were tons of Korean food options. We decided to give this place a try.Their seafood tofu soup was very flavorful. It also has a hint of black pepper to spice up the dish.Their dumplings were very crispy edges and soft center. Kids will like the dish. The assorted meat soup was okay, a bit bland, but you can add salt and pepper to your liking. The staff here are very friendly and their side dishes were delicious.Worth checking out out if you are in the mood for Korean comfort f

Stopped by at Jang Su Seolleongtang on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 1 pm. I originally meant to try a different Korean restaurant nearby, but confusion with the GPS (from another fellow foodie) led me here instead. Sometimes life will unexpectedly steer you onto a different path and you wind up in a better place, like how I felt with Jang Su Seolleongtang. This restaurant specializes in Seolleongtang (as evident from the name), so they have a limited menu. But if you're not in a mood for Korean ox bone soup like I was that day, they have other Korean classics that are quite good like tofu stew and galbi. The tofu stew was spicy and had a deep umami flavor to it. It had a decent amount of tofu, but the stew was a bit oily. Eating this dish with rice is a must to cool your palate from the spiciness of the stew. The galbi had a lot of meat with a good cook on it - nice sear without that boiled texture and it was flavorful. The service was appreciable. Definitely more attentive than most Korean restaurants I've been to. The restaurant was small with limited tables, so it will be difficult to dine here with a large group. It felt cozy, but not cramped. Overall, even though I didn't have their specialty seolleongtang, I still had a good dining experience with their tofu stew and LA galbi.

3.5 stars. Decent quality food but meat in sul lung tang is just not enough. Sul lung tang could be thicker but still had decent flavor. Kimchis were also good but bit too sweet to be authentic Korean style. This is the only option for decent Sul lung tang in the area. I will be coming back for sure but bang for the buck isn't very good here. Overpriced food for its portion. There is hardly any meat in the soup: probably not even 5oz.Seafood pancake (pajeon) was also quite good and actually had decent amount with good flavor.Inside of the restaurant is basic and cramped. Seemed like they tried to put in extra couple more tables than they really should for the size of the restaurant.Anyways, like i said, there isn't any competition here. Place is quite busy and i really have no other choice but here for decent sul lung tang.

This is the real deal. The broth is thick and I also got a lot of meat in my dish. I tried the regular sollungtang and it came with quite a bit of meat. I also had the doganitang which has cartilege in it. This is like drinking and eating a bowl full of collagen. It was excellent. I did note that the doganitang broth was thicker than the regular sollungtang broth. We also ordered their seafood pancake which was excellent. Their kimchi was good as well. What's different about this sollungtang place is that they have quite an extensive menu beyond sollungtang. Most places usually focus on the bone broth dish. The service was friendly and the restaurant was casual. I will definitely return if I am in the area.

I had high hopes for Jang Su, but the seolleongtang was a letdown. The broth was extremely bland, even after adding three heaping teaspoons of salt and lots of black pepper. It tasted watered down and lacked the rich, meaty flavor I've heard so much about. I got the assorted meat version, but it only had one piece each of brisket and shank--the rest was cartilage. The cartilage was soft and gelatinous, which was different and nice, but I expected more variety. There were four banchan. Most were good, but the radish had a bitter and overly sour aftertaste. Service was ok; our server only came by to take our order and once for a tea refill. We waited a long time for the check, looking up at our server to see them on their phone, and weren't sure if we needed to go up to the counter to pay.My friend and I went around 7PM. Due to how diluted my broth was, I am thinking that the broth may be better earlier in the day--I'd try coming back for lunch, but this visit was disappointing.

Went there for the first time after reading reviews and food pictures. All the side dishes were nice, and the main dishes were delicious. We ordered army stew and beef soup. We enjoyed the food and kind service. We will definitely go back soon to try other menu items.

Banchan (side dishes) approved by Korean first gen parents (especially the kimchi- iykyk)We all got sulleongtang (ox bone soup) and enjoyed all three types (combination, brisket, and tendon). They had a lot of meat inside and the broth was very flavorful. We really liked the handmade (snowflake) dumplings- very crispy on top and juicy inside. Our food also came out pretty quickly. We went for dinner around 5:30pm on a Sunday and there was no wait, couple tables still empty. Will definitely be going back to try some other menu items!!

Small interior but clean. Their menu emphasizes seoullangtang which is boiled meat soup. I tried the beef brisket. It includes glass noodles and a bowl of rice. The banchan special kimchi is good. The soup itself is bland, as expected, and needs plenty of salt and pepper. The meat was quite tender. However, I don't think I'd feel like I would ever crave it.We also tried the LA Galbi. It was a bit too sweet for me. Portions were decent but it's pretty expensive there.

In the beginning I was afraid that if I left too good of a review, the place would get overcrowded and I wouldn't be able to eat here as often as I wanted. I know. I'm a selfish prick. But after reading some of the low-star reviews, I felt the need to tip the scale to righteousness. Some people think doing a good review is to be critical as possible, and some do reviews just to complain about something. None of y'all are judges for Top Chef, so quit that shit.Dudes. They have the #1 깍두기 and 김치 in HOCO. Anyone who knows Korean food will tell you, bonchon in Korean food is like salsas in Mexi restaurants: It is a direct correlation to how good the rest of the food are. Their soup is criminal smooth and rich, and they are not cheap to load up on the meat. On a cold winter day, there's nothing better. Well, maybe pho, but that a different genre. I'm just grateful JangSu is nearby to serve this Korean authenticity right.
