J’s Crab and Seafood Market

I've been looking for a good seafood place in the DMV for YEARS and I finally found this place! I visit atleast once a week it's that good. My favorite go-tos are the poboys and crabs. The homemade sauces are straight fire. 10/10

I've ordered for pickup (had someone else pick it up) the three times I've eaten here. Can't comment on the actual establishment but the food! Omg!Let's start. First time around I ordered the fried shrimp platter with fries. Delicious! Shrimp fried to perfection, fries nice and crispy, hot and golden. I got the dipping sauce that's orange in color, kind of taste like ketchup and Mayo mix.Second time, I got the catfish platter with Mac n cheese and collard greens. Catfish, perfect! Crunchy on the edges, moist inside. The Mac n cheese, not a big fan of it. Almost tasted like box Mac n cheese. Kinda dry, over cooked. The greens, same thing. Tasted like canned greens, lacked seasonings. Comparing both to sides I've tried from other similar establishments, they could use a little work. Third time, I got the catfish platter again, this time with Hush puppies and fries. Hush puppies were flavorful and yummy. Fries, crispy and golden. Catfish, need I say more! Yummy. Overall I'm satisfied with my platter.I would absolutely order from J's again and again, modifying which platters I try and sides. If you're looking for yummy dinner or lunch that's hot, quick and filling, this is your place!

Shrimp basket w/ French Fries and Hush Puppies. I've never been a fan of shoestring French fries. Please take these off the market

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I have never had the crabs but the fish is absolutely amazing and they have wonderful customer service!

So I was looking for some crabs and found J's. Let me just say the people that work there are very nice and helpful for a seafood market that was a welcome surprise . Now on to the crabs..... Delicious!!!!! now they only had small and medium females but, they where Heavy and full of meat. Oh and did I say delicious . Well if anyone s look for some good crabs or seafood try J's. And the best part for me is that they are 5 minutes from my house .

I'll have to try once more to determine if the crabs I had were pretty darn good or if I was just pressed for crabs!! Delivered by door dash because I didn't realize they were so close to my house. Might have to leave out during this quarantine to check out the facility.

This place is great ! Fast service good food . The only con I say is that they do not deVane they're shrimp so it kinda turns me off sometimes !

Omg their crab legs are so goooood!!! I think about them everyday I would eat it if I could !!! Snow crab legs to be exact!! Sausage corn and potatoes bomb food speak for itself

I love their crabs nice and heavy ....They have broil bags with shrimp corn potatoes bomb.com....prices are reasonable...po boy sandwiches go check them out you wont be disappointed

I am convinced the DMV is food illiterate! The reviews for this restaurant is way off... First off the shrimp was not de-Veined, Second where was the season and flavor to any of the food. I asked for extra Cajun butter it fell short of there take on Cajun butter. There was something there... I'm assuming what, they would call, Cajun butter! Bottom line TERRIBLE!! Don't waste your money!
