The name is actually Indian Express on Fern St, in Wheaton, MD. We had takeout for the first time. It does have sit down service, but we just did takeout. They had a wide variety of dishes, (Northern Indian). We liked the samosas and the aloo korma. I ordered something I had never had, it was Aloo Chat Papri (A salad consisting of a fried tortilla potatoes, chickpeas, onion, tomato topped with sweet Yogurt tamarind sauce). The concept was good, but the tortilla, which was cut up was rancid!. I called the restaurant to tell them about the rancid chips and they said they would replace the dish with something else. I didn't want to go back to the restaurant. I wanted him to taste his tortilla chips and see if they were rancid. I'm not sure he understood that I thought the chips were too old and the oil had gone rancid. I have very good taste and smell and I've even had a neighbor come to me to tell her which essential oils were rancid and which were not. (Not hard.) My husband, who recently ate moldy alfredo sauce without noticing thought it was fine. He does didn't taste the moldy afredo sauce or the rancid tortilla chips. I'm going to give them another chance, but I am forewarned.

The name says it all. It seems that most of the dishes we tried were pre cooked and were heated prior to serving. Reportedly, the chef used to work at Woodland, the now closed vegetarian restaurant. Most of the dishes are non-vegetarian and include various bryanni and curry combinations. The vegetarian egg plant was good but the chicken Tika masala included dry precooked chicken cubes, the spinach bryanni was tasteless as was the okra. I guess the only dishes that may be cooked to order are the various tandoori offerings.
