If you love sushi and sashimi. This is your place,,,, Saki was delicious. Sashimi pieces were fresh and large. My new favorite restaurant in Bowie area. Service was great. Can't say enough

The food was very good! My favorite was the General Tso's shrimp. I was able to try about almost everything my family ordered and no complaints. The presentation was also very nice to look at.

I stopped in Ichiban to quickly grab sushi today, before my meeting. The fire alarm went off when I received my food for approximately 15-20 minutes. The said it happens often and I didn't need to vacate the premises. It was loud and piercing to my ears. Thus, I ate quickly and signed a few documents needed for my meeting. I ask them to cover my soda $4 (not my meal) due to the inconvenience. I was told, it was not their fault and I could have left. What poor customer service and response. I told the service I would not be back and she responded "I don't care". Wow!

1/8/24 Definitely has declined in quality and flavor. We ordered vegetable lomein, General Tso tofu, vegetables with brown and spring rolls. The spring rolls were refried, the tofu was oversized and flavorless, the Lomein lacked vegetable variety and flavor. Not to compare to the Ichiban of old but overall food and service has declined!

Food was so delicious! We did a take out and the food was still warm we got to our hotel. Service was fast. Looks cozy inside but we didnt sit in for dinning.

i have visited Ichiban several times over the past 16 years of living in Bowie, beginning when it was only a one-store-sized restaurant. We normally go there for special occasions like after I bought my car. We did have a lackluster experience during COVID and walked out one time - but most places were overwhelmed around here I'm sure. So today I just came back from lunch with my daughter's BF, and I must say that today the food was as good as it has ever been, shrimp tempura, salmon sushi, szechwuan beef, and breaded chicken were all fresh, along with the salad and miso. For a town with very few options of this caliber, it remains one of the best restaurants in Bowie IMHO and I'm posting with 5 stars because this is easily a 4.0 restaurant for Bowie and Ill be bold enough to encourage Ichiban staff and management, and its happy regulars, to work toward raising that average.

My food was absolutely great! 8-10 or 10/10 based on which item... but the service wasn't great at all. I did have carry out my first time going and I was never greeted or shown any friendly communication. Once she got off the phone after ignoring my presence, she simply said "watchu want". I'll definitely return for my amazing sushi roll but I'll only do carry out or try to dine in at a different time.

The general tso's wings are a must try. A bit too saucy for us, but the overall flavor was good. We didn't love the Thai spring rolls, but it was a good experience for the first time. A bit pricy too. We will be back soon.

The first and last time I was here, the food wasn't bad-- just not very memorable. They got the order wrong and I had to return from home, after calling them, so they could correct it. The hostess was pretty cold, just on the line between barely polite and rude. Between the not-memorable food, the high prices and the attitude, I am not convinced I need to return here.
