Holy Chow - Kosher Chinese Takeout

The Chinese food is amazing here and there are so many great options. Customer service is also outstanding!

I love Holy Chow. The Washington, DC area is so lucky to have this Kosher Chinese restaurant in our area. They also deliver to Potomac once a week for a nominal fee.

Holy Chow is a good quality kosher Chinese takeout joint. They do deliver but the fees are high so when we do order delivery (as we do not drive) we order enough for leftovers the next day. We last ordered from here two weeks ago and got a Large Singapore Noodles, a Large Orange Chicken with Fried Rice, and a Shawarma Pita. The Shawarma I think is the recipe of Max's which is now closed and the Singapore Noodles were great. The Orange Chicken was decent but I remember it being better last time. The time before we ordered more food at the same price but a lot of it was on lunch special so ordering earlier in the day may help.

The menu is quite extensive but the dishes we ordered were are tasteless. The sweet and sour soup was neither sweet nor sour-just a salty thick colored liquid. The chicken dishes included small shreds of chewy chicken drenched in a brownish sauce with a few undercooked broccoli. We enjoyed excellent kosher food in many metropolitan areas and this carry out place is a big disappointment.

We really wanted to like Holy Chow, but the food just wasn't good. We ordered hot & sour soup and it was not sour at all and didn't have the flavor of that soup which we have had at many restaurants. We also ordered beef with vegetables, which was bland and the vegetables were cooked to death. Even the fried rice had no flavor. We tried Holy Chow based on it being reviewed in the Post, but we unfortunately very disappointed.

Holy Chow is our go-to when we don't want to cook for the weekend. The dishes are the perfect amount of flavor and spice, without being greasy. The owner is always looking to improve and is therefore open to feedback. Family favorite dishes: Beef Lo Mein, Mongolian Beef, Chicken with Broccoli, Curry Chicken and both Wonton and Sweet & Sour Soups.We are so fortunate to have great kosher Chinese food in our neighborhood!

Good food (American-style Chinese takeout), essentially takeout but with a few seats at the bar inside and a couple of tables outside for nice weather. Prices are incredibly good for kosher food. And the people are honest, easy to work with, and always work hard to take care of whatever you need. We had a delivery concern for a catering order on a Friday afternoon, after the restaurant was closed, and the owner was on his cell phone making sure that we were fully taken care of, even after we had told him that everything arrived and looked great. We are lucky to have Holy Chow in the suburban-DC community.

Loooove Holy Chow! The food is always delicious, and the pan fried veggie dumplings are the best I've ever had.

Food is inedible. No chicken in a mountain of pasta when I got the chicken mei fun. Chicken could not be chews when I got sweet and sour chicken and the sesame chicken. Prices should be considered robbery. Don't go there. You'd be wasting your time and end up with an empty stomach.

These guys are amazing! They're constantly checking their prices to make them as low as they can afford and they're always delicious and helpful if you have any questions! They even deliver hot lunches to local schools!
