Hip Hop Fish & Chicken

May 2023My husband placed an order for to go. This was the first time trying the chicken from this location. It was also the worst chicken and fries we've had of all their locations that we have tried. The chicken looked old and stale even though my husband saw them take it out of the fryer. The fries didn't taste fresh either and perhaps was overcooked. Maybe the oil they used was bad. Normally I am excited when he surprises me with Hip Hop Chicken for lunch, but the excitement wore off after I opened the box. Needless to say, he won't be returning to this location.

This is a late night quick fix, busy as usual. Great quick service and good doable food. Especially on game weekends

Hip Hop Chicken is a Baltimore staple and I try to stop by when I'm in the area. This time I ordered the small fried shrimp entree and added a chicken leg. Both were especially tasty. The shrimp had a crispy coating that wasn't too greasy, and the chicken leg was juicy and well-seasoned.The restaurant itself is small but clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, and my order was ready quickly. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the generous portions.My only complaint was that the sides weren't as good as the main dishes. The fries were just okay, maybe a bit soggy. But overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend Hip Hop Chicken to anyone looking for a quick and satisfying meal in the area. Don't forget to get the hot sauce and the barbecue sauce!

Mold on peach cobbler.. will not ever order again G.N. This is a horrific way to treat your customers. Food is supposed to be fresh and sold within guidelines.

I must say I frequent the location on Liberty/Milford Road often to purchase their fried catfish and coleslaw. Management is the absolute best and the food is delicious.

Hip hop is only good 4 their catfish or catfish nuggets everything else I got from there is garbage cakes stale sides have no flavor keep ur money unless ur getting catfish

The food was cold and not flavored well. I don't understand why people rave about this location. After I mentioned it to the manager he said "microwave it and add some salt" ... just unprofessional!

This location offers good service and food. Parking is available but the lot is not huge but I've never had an issue grabbing a space when I come. I recommend calling ahead but there have been times that I've ordered at the counter and the longest I've waited was about 10 minutes so nothing major. My usual is the pick 2 which comes with cole slaw and fries. I like how they offer the option to substitute the fries with another option if it's not what you prefer. It's located on liberty and easy to get to so I'll continue to stop by.

Great food! Flavor is amazing. Just like home cooking. Fast and convenient! Variety on the menu

Got the liver and wings and both were super overcooked. Liver was fried so hard that you could barely bite into it. Wings had no flavor.
