First off, you are paying for the convenience of not having to drive to York or Baltimore.The prices are incredibly steep.I understand that this year was horrible for the crab industry.From Chesapeake to the lost Alaskan snow crabs.On my budget, it's worth my time to make the trip.I do however absolutely love their "Hot" crab seasoning!It's great on everything from corn on the cob, fish, shrimp, potatoes.The jumbo lump crab cakes were good, expensive, but nothing spectacular. Guy yI make better tasting cakes myself with jumbo, special and claw. If you've got the cash burning a hole in your pocket, this place is fantastic.This is a take-out only establishment, but they do sell all of the necessary crab consumption paraphernalia.

Excellent phone service. Was able to place order and pick up at the designated time. Usually at crab houses they'll cook ahead of time and the crabs would be sitting for ten minutes. Not the case here. Pulled in and the crabs had two minutes left! The location was clean, and staff was kind.

In the middle of a pandemic and a trip to Baltimore is not an option? Harbour House Crabs is the best substitute in the area. Their prices are a bit high, but if you are really craving steamed blue crabs and the experience of spending hours picking tiny bites of crab meat out of spicy shells, this is your Go to. At various times I have been able to find Harbour House on some of the delivery sites I subscribe to, but for me, buying a 1/2 bushel of steamed crabs to make a mess in my dining room is not an impulse purchase that I suddenly choose for dinner. Call ahead and find out what the prices are, and schedule your order. I like to get them steamed in house and take them home hot. (A Styrofoam cooler works well for this.Price varies by the size of the crab, and generally I go with large male (aka Jimmy) crabs. Don't forget the mallets!

I discovered this place this weekend after craving crabs all day long. Original plan was to drive down to Baltimore tomorrow to satisfy this crab craving, then I started searching for steamed crabs online and found Harbour House crabs. I am surprised there aren't more reviews of this place.The shop is small and not fancy but it's no nonsense and that's what I like about it. There's a small bench to sit on while you wait and a restroom for the convenience of patrons.They were out of the Jumbo crabs when we got there on a Saturday evening two hours before they closed for the day, but offered us the large instead.We purchased a dozen large crabs- take out with traditional seasoning. The service was quick, we had a 10 minute wait. The crabs were meaty and everything I wished for. Craving is now in check and has been satisfied. I couldn't wait to recommend this place to everyone, thus the review.I am kicking myself for having only found this place now, especially since I've been living around here a while. I highly recommend this to any crab lover. It's the best you can get in the Harrisburg area and it's really good.

Hard shells were great. Customer service was excellent. They also had a variety of other items that I picked up.

Not enough crab meat in the crabs. We got the super size and there just wasn't enough of the meat in them. Ended up tossing half a dozen at least because they weren't worth the time and effort. Seems online crab ordering is always disappointing when compared to being in Maryland sitting down eating at a crab restaurant. It satisfied the craving, that's it. The crab we got out was good.

Excellent Service & crabs were delicious . She states they were the best she ever had eaten.

I did an online order with HHCH, and had a few concerns regarding my order. I called as well as emailed them, and their early response and resolution to my concern's exceeded my expectations. When my crabs arrived they were absolutely delicious, and heavy. I'm from MD and moved further down south, As I understand it now Harbor House is in PA. But their seafood is as good as the seafood where I'm from. Great Job Harbor House I'll be ordering again very soon from you guys.RespectfullyT. Washington

Their Advertising says "We hand make every crab cake with our best jumbo lump crab meat with no filler. We add just enough bread crumbs to keep the crab meat together. " This is untrue. Their crab cakes consist of a ball of six or eight lumps of nice crab backfin stuck onto a round mass of grey colored scrap filler from legs.
