Hanover Railside Family Dinner

If you're looking for a friendly cheap breakfast! Then look no further, this place has plenty of seating, a small-town feel, and some of the friendly staff I've met. I've eaten here a few times for breakfast and it's always under 20 dollars for two people. The only complaint I have is the home fries, the potatoes are not seasoned and are a bit on the hard side. This could have just been a one-time thing, because any other time it's been on point. They also serve lunch, though I've not tried that out yet.

This is one of the best diners ever!!! They have a Jill's salad for 8.50. It's huge Good home cooking and 2 of us ate for 26.00 and we left satisfied. They have homemade deserts as well. The meal is so filling you may have to take your desert home. Around the back is an ice cream parlor. You can't go wrong here.

I popped in here while I was in town not expecting much, and it wasn't, but the food filled a hole. It's really your "basic bitch" kind of eatery. Sort of like a diner but doesn't seem to me like a diner. Not a hole-in-the-wall greasy spoon, but nothing spectacular either. The clientele weren't friendly but they didn't go out of their way to be dicks either. There was this one dude who worked in the kitchen who looked like he might be some kind of backwoods serial killer. The waitress who served me seemed like she gave up, on everything, a long time ago. However I rated this place so high because she took the fact I casually didn't tip her like a pro. Like she expected that, and my frugal side respects that. It wasn't just the people but the food itself that was passable, but like I said I ate it and the price was reasonable. I didn't spend more than $12 all together for the Rueben Sandwich, that was mostly sour kraut (that should have come with chips), fountain soda, and chocolate cake (which was the best part of the meal). I would say save this place as a dessert stop after eating at McDonald's.

If you are not From the area this place maybe a little hard to find. This is family owned from people who been in the restaurant business for countless years. Most of everything I have tried here i have enjoyed. The service is always good.Prices are reasonable. The only thing I would have to say negative about it is very cramped on the inside. I definitely recommed this place.

This place is great it's clean, the waitresses are friendly the food is awesome. If you are planning to eat here you may want to go for dinner early. This place gets packed people standing and waiting to get seated. It is worth the wait as one can tell by everyone staying and waiting.

Yum! This place is great! good find in Hanover. good food. generous portions. old fashioned prices. this place only had one mediocre yelp review, but we decided to check it out because the parking lot was full and the place appeared bustling. good move on our part. lengthy handwritten specials of the day page, with all the PA goodness you would expect to find in these parts. would definitely be glad to come back here again.

I go here for breakfast every once in a while, and haven't really had a bad experience. I gave this place three stars because it's fairly average across the board. It's typically crowded (almost entirely with old people), but the service is pretty fast. The food is typical diner-type fare, and it's pretty cheap. Overall, not a bad breakfast spot.

There are many items on the menu.. something for everyone. The food and services are great. The portions are generous. We got a terrific- attentive and nice waitress. The only thing is no weekend hours.

These folks are always friendly , fast and very professional . The food is really good . The fish and the soups are as good as you will ever eat . Always happy with the service , large portions and the best coleslaw around . Can't say enough good stuff about this place .

Good home style food and very inexpensive! The salads are huge, the Friday haddock dinner feeds two. My go to place for a good meal.
