I had the lamb gyro and fries. Was super good and very generous portions for a very reasonable price! The man who took my order was so nice and fast service as well.

Was hoping to grab a meal from the Halal Brothers at 1925 McElderry St, Baltimore. Unfortunately, we found that this is not an outside store location and that it was probably within the school. Since we were driving by looking for a place to grab a meal, we could not do so. As a result, I could not provide a review of the experience other than it was not visible and ended up wasting our time. Too bad. Should say somewhere that this is an inside a building location.

The good: Large portion sizes and quick service. Guys in the cart were really friendly. The bad: Chicken lacked flavor. Rice needed more salt. The secret is in the white sauce, the more you add the better it taste.Ask for red sauce on the side, it can be too spicy.

So it was pretty "authentic" (if we use the NYC halal food carts as what this aims to emulate) the first time I had this. The chicken and rice were very flavorful and the chicken had a nice char to it similar to when you get it from the street carts in NYC. Both the white and red sauce were on point! The red sauce was nice and spicy! I was really excited t find this in Baltimore. However, the second time I had it, after they moved onto the Hopkins campus from the Orleands Street location, I was pretty disappointed. The rice seemed like regular rice (not the fragrant turmeric rice). Something was really off with the red sauce -- maybe it was just that particular batch? It was bright pink and not the deep spicy red. Sadly, it also wasn't that spicy...I don't know what happened!

Baltimore's answer to the Halal Guys in NYC. I've never eaten at the place in NYC and so can't compare, but I thought it was really tasty -- especially for $6.Skip the lamb--it's dry-- and go straight for the chicken. The white sauce is very tasty.Be warned, the red sauce is very spicy. You might want to get it on the side.

Got catering from them for 40+ people. The food was delicious and they were very easy to communicate with.

I tend to purchase the mixed rice platter because I like variety. It's a good amount of food for the price and is satisfying every time, especially when I consider the price range of hospital options across the street. Taking off a star because I've had friends notice a stray hair in the food once or twice, but never personally experienced it.

I was on my way to Northeast Market, when I saw Halal Brothers setting up shop on McElderly, across the street from Hopkins. This place was on my radar when I was yelping good places to eat around campus. I ordered what the guy suggested, which is the lemon rice with a mix of chicken and gyro (lamb). You get a base layer of rice, accompanied with chicken and lamb, white sauce, hot sauce, and a sprinkling of lettuce on the side in a styrofoam box. If you cannot tolerate the hot sauce, ask only for a little bit, because a little goes a long way. It was a delicious lunch. My intention was to save half for dinner because I got full halfway through, but it was so good that I ate the entire thing in one sitting. Total regret as I entered a state of food coma for my afternoon class, but I'm glad that I got to try the Halal Brothers. Great for a quick, easy, delicious lunch (and dinner if you have leftovers) for $5.99. I'm glad I got to try Halal Brothers' food.

You get what you paid for basically, food was simple and cheap so I didn't have any high expectation. Tried their chicken which was pretty decent and other places can top that as well. My advice is if you're in s hurry and don't care about quality this is not a bad option. For me personally I will not eat again anytime soon since I live far away from here.
