Our first time here we signed up for a brewery tour and tasting. The tour lasted a little over 30 minutes where we learned a bit about the history of Guinness, why they chose this location, and the brewing/fermentation process. There was a quick tasting afterwards which we tried classic and experimental brews. Afterwards we explored the taproom, gift shop, and outdoor area. Nothing quite beats a Guinness Stout on tap, plus this brewery has plenty of local and experimental brews! Never tried other Guinness beers until we came to the brewery and now the Baltimore Blonde is my second favorite Guinness. The Guinness Stout cake is hands down one of the best cakes I have ever had, definitely recommend trying it! They serve all the classic brewery fare but some have a nice twist to them such as old bay flavored or Guinness Stout infused. Gift shop prices are a bit high for some things but they also sell plenty of beer in the fridge. There is also a large outdoor area with plenty of seating and sometimes they have the food truck open and live events happening. It is also conveniently located right outside of Baltimore and I always try to stop by when going to/from BWI airport.

If you're a beer lover (or just looking for a cool spot to hang), Guinness Open Gate Brewery is a must. The building itself is stunning--modern, sleek, and massive, but with that classic Guinness charm. And the outdoor space? Huge. Plenty of seating, fire pits, and a laid-back vibe that makes it easy to spend a few hours just hanging out.We grabbed the hummus plate and snagged a spot by a fire outside--perfect for a chill evening. The beer, of course, is top-notch. They have the classics, but also some unique brews you won't find anywhere else, which makes it fun to try something new. Everything felt well thought out, from the service to the setup, and even though it's a big place, it still feels welcoming.Whether you're here for a casual drink, a date night, or just to check it out, it's worth the trip. Good beer, good atmosphere, and plenty of space to spread out. Will definitely be back!

This brewery is huge! You can't miss them with their gigantic sign on the building. I came here for the first time for trivia with a friend. It was a busy busy Wednesday night. We sat at the bar and I sampled a couple beers to figure out which one I liked. I ended up choosing the Peach & Plum Ale which had a very mild peach flavor and wasn't too bitter for me. Trivia host did a great job and we had a good time playing and just hanging out. Lots of space indoors and outdoors. The service is mediocre here but the vibes are fun. A cool spot for hangouts and of course, trivia!

Absolutely incredible experience! The tours of the brewery are fun and informative. The restaurant is open and naturally lit. Great space. The food was incredible. The best Irish stew I've ever had. The brown bread brought me back to Ireland . We toured St James Gate in Dublin and this was just as enjoyable. If you're a lover of Guinness and/ or Ireland, you need to get here. Ten minutes outside of Baltimore.

Service was great. Food was good. Music was wonderful, but it was freezing cold because the heat was not working and no one explained why what was going on.

What a great place to stop when leaving/going to BWI! We stopped in on a Saturday before a flight for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. We sat inside since it was in the 30s and too cold for outside seating but had no issue getting a table. We started with oysters that were fresh, cold, and delicious. I ordered the crab cake sandwich which was yummy. The fries were so good with the house made ketchup! My husband and I split the wedge salad to start. Love the uniqueness with the scotch egg. Service was also great and liked that we could order with the server or on the app. Can't wait to return!

We decided to take another 7 hour drive to visit Baltimore, and especially Open Gate Brewery. This place is more fun in the summer time, even though we did appreciate it when it was cooler a few months ago. They are a wide array of new beers from what was available a month or so ago, and they were all good. We also tried some more food, which was all very good. The staff is really friendly and attentive too. Overall, this is probably one of my top favorite places in Baltimore. I wish them nothing but success. Also, I really wish their beer was available in other parts of the country. Everyone thinks of Guinness as this bitter stout beer, when Open Gate has done a phenomenal job of creating a variety of beer for every type of palette. One criticism: It is ridiculous how many children are playing in the beer garden, many that arent with adults. This isn't a park, and if kids are present, I shouldnt have to duck frisbees, soccer balls, and from them running into us. There were scores of kids in sports jerseys who probably came here after games, but there were no adults with them. We experienced this on two separate days. Also, why are they checking our IDs if a significant portion of attendees are underaged?

We went here for the 2024 Arts and Drafts festival they had on their grounds over the weekend. The grounds are well maintained and perfect for this function. All the vendors had booths all around the periphery with lots of items from pottery, jewelry, paintings, and lots more. It was truly an art wonderland.Inside the brewery, there were sampling rooms, a huge 4-sided bar, and a restaurant for those who wanted to have something to eat. From what we saw, the food looked really good and to quench your thirst, 18 kinds of beer on tap! It was very busy there. It was a perfect day for this event, and it drew in the crowds. Most of the event goers ended up inside. For the children, they had a room set up to color refrigerator magnets and a yarn craft. This brought out memories of summer camp days.To top it off, they had a jazz band playing on the balcony, nice touch for all to sit back and enjoy.

My first time here and the facility was amazing, the food was delicious, beer was outstanding, and the service was also outstanding. I took the Historic beer tour. The guide was very informative about the history of beer and what goes into brewing beer, The tasting at the end was really good. The facility was very clean and the atmosphere what I expected for a brewery. I plan on returning.
