Great American Saloon

Food is terrible!Service is terrible!We have tried on 3 separate occasions to get a meal without one successful trip.Without exaggeration, every single time we have ordered our food to go, it has been an epic fail.Each time the order was half complete, or the entre / steak was substituted with a different cut but no one bothered to mention that. Med well steaks are blue rare with hard white uncooked fat, signature sauce that tops the steak missing. Seafood that tops the steak never made it on. Save your hard earned money and go to a different restaurant.

Loved the look and feel of this place. Staff were very nice. Food was really good but very pricey. Portions were small for the price you pay. $26 dollars for a small salmon on top of a small dollop of potatoes and corn puree, with about 5 pieces of asparagus on top.

This was my second visit to. Great American Saloon and the first was about a year ago with a large group. Stopped by with 2 friends for a fun night and it was! We began with a drink and friend #1 got a mocktail that looked lovely. Friend #2 had a cherry cosmo. She said it was good but too sweet. That happens. My Berringer's white zin was terrific because it was Berringer's white zin. I love it. Friend #1 got chicken Madeira- a generous portion of chicken breast and mushrooms and mozzarella covered in gravy / sauce with asparagus and served atop a mountain of mashed potatoes. She offered some and I took advantage of that. It was delish and I will order that next time! Friend #2 got cream of crab soup. She said it wasn't as thick as it should be but flavor was ok. She asked for a taste of the lobster bisque, thinking of taking it home for her son. She didn't think it was good and when I tasted it I could taste the lobster flavor, but over all, we decided it would be good to use to hold up wallpaper. It was like thick flour and water with some lobster flavor thrown in. On to my dinner- I had a great burger. I was disappointed that they didn't have the variety of burgers on the menu that were in the online menus, but it was a good burger! It came with cheese, breaded fried onions, cheese ( I switched to provolone from the normal cheddar), one lettuce leaf and BBQ sauce, which I got on the side. Good burger, nice portion and it came with yummy crisp fries. It hit the spot and was big enough that I had the other half for lunch the next day. Our server, Ashley, was attentive and helpful and let us finish our drinks and chat ( make that laugh and yell) with no rush. Later on a manager came by to ask how our meals were. She was very sweet and looks like she's maybe 13 years old! I asked her about one of their side dishes called baked pineapple and she described it to us. Friend #1 ordered it as a dessert for us to share. It wAs scrumptious! I'd definitely get that next time I go back. The place is loud, the decor has lots of animal heads and fun antique kinds of things to look at. Although I'm not into hanging parts of dead animals on the wall, it's kind of kitschy, and not seriously, hear look at this dead animal. Overall, it's a fun place to go with friends for a fun dinner. You don't have to be concerned about making too much noise with raucous friends because you'll blend right in! A nice place to have a good meal and a good time.

Let's start off with a shout out to Jamie, our server. He was absolutely stellar. Great service. Great humor. Really good ambassador for the restaurant. Had great rapport with other guests too. Foot delivery was a little slow but for once, that was good. The calamari was awesome. Perfectly cooked. The ribeyes were done just right and were not overly fatty. Baked potatoes were perfect as well. Great dinner tonight. Thank you!

Been there a few times. The food has always been spectacular. It's not gourmet, but the portions are exceedingly large and everything is always cooked appropriately. The place is jampacked every time weve been there for dinner. The service was very good as well, especially with needy/particular family members. The ambience is weird but certainly some people enjoy the western saloon feel. I'm just there for the food :)

We decided to go to our local fav- The First Post but they had a 2 hr wait and we didn't want to wait so we left. On the way out a very nice gentleman recommended Great American Saloon, he said that the owners were the same and the food was amazing and he was headed there too bc he didn't want to be on the 2hr wait list at First Post. Both me and my husband were like well if the owners are the same the food will probably be the same too and decided to try this place!I first off have to praise our hostess- Ariyanna! She was absolutely fantastic. Like true definition of a perfect host! She kept checking on us, super friendly, attentive to detail, made great recommendations! She was amazing.As for food- spot on.Dinner rolls amazing.Reuben Roll- amazing, like if they made this into a sandwich I'd probably order one every week. Get this.Cream of crab soup- I was initially hesitant but Ari was like there's tons of crab in it and she was definitely not kidding. Chunks of crabs in the small cup of soup. It was so flavorful, definitely a winter fall soup. MUST try. Definitely getting this again next time.American Burger- was very good! Get the saloon sauce on the side if you're not a big sauce person, glad Ari recommended that bc the sauce was a bit overwhelming. It's like a thousand island sauce. Other than that great classic burger.Gnocchi Carbonara- I'm not a big gnocchi person but my husband loved it. I personally loved the chicken and shrimp. It was seasoned so perfectly. If you like gnocchi get it this!Then we got a steak with a side of mashed potatoes and baked beans. Average steak.If you are a fan of the First Post you'll love this place. I think the menu here might have more things but some of the items are the same as the First Post. Definitely same quality of food and similar atmosphere.Definitely recommend this place to others! I will definitely go back. And would like to thank the gentleman who told us about this hidden gem! And thank you Ari for being such a great host! :)

It was our first time visiting this establishment. We were greeted and taken immediately to our table. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. My husband and I both ordered the steak sandwich special. We were given complimentary rolls and cinnamon butter. The decor was fitting for the restaurant. It was extremely clean. Our steak sandwiches arrived in a timely amount of time. These sandwiches were delicious! My husband commented this was our best meal out in a long time. We said this will be our go to place each time we pick up our wine club.

Food is always excellent and good variety. Servers are friendly and offer recommendations. Can be loud depending how close to the bar area you are seated but staff will accommodate what you prefer. Penne Rustica is excellent.

Mediocre seafood - we ordered the Chesapeake Trio - shrimp, scallops & a crab cake. It was bland - not a hint of flavor. No herbs or spices, no garlic or butter...is there a chef? Don't you hate paying for a top price entree and it's lousy? Even the baked sweet potato was undercooked....we will not return. I can find better in a local diner for a third of the price. We Do not recommend.

This place is awesome my go to place when I have out of town company... I never had a problem with the wonderful food and I usually have something different every time, the service is absolutely fantastic, and the surroundings are great with the theme... I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a place that has a amazing menu and prices are fair...
