Let me start by saying I love the atmosphere. I came at an off time but the food was absolutely amazing! I got the churrasco salvadoreno and it was delicious! I highly recommend I will say the house marg was lacking though so if you're a tequila drinker I would go with one of their more extensive options that listed the ingredients and you should be solid. I still give it a 5/5 though bc the food was that good

Went for a quick lunch and it was excellent. For just opening food was great, service was quick and the server was very friendly. The restaurant is in a small outskirts of the food lion but did not disappoint. Decorated nicely and comfortable. If in the area definitely check it out.

We wanted some tacos and decided to try Gran Azteca. Our order also included cheese pupusas, churros, and a burrito entree. Our order was placed online to go, but the place was packed! This restaurant gets it right! It's the little things that make you want to return. The essence and soul is embedded in the food. The street tacos were seasoned the right amount, and you can taste the authenticity immediately. I appreciated that the fish taco was cut up into little pieces instead of a slab of fish in a tortilla. My favorite street taco has always been the Al Pastor, and this one did not disappoint. It meat was slow cooked like it's supposed to be instead of being chewy and pan seared. The pineapples were also grilled/cooked instead of super sweet pineapples straight out of the can. The beef burrito(not pictured) was also very good. I loved how everything was smartly packaged. We live 25 minutes away and the food was still hot when we got home. Why 4 stars? No major reason. I personally like smaller pupusas and I would've loved even a small container of consumme to go with the birria taco. Overall verdict, we will be back, soon!

I don't know what was better: the food or the service. Everyone who worked there was friendly, attentive, and made dining here an exceptional experience. The food was delicious, coming out hot and fresh, with tender and flavorful meat. They were on top of any extras we may have wanted - grilled jalapeños, house made hot sauce, etc. Everything was reasonably priced as well. I can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes!

I've been eating all types of Mexican food, for over 50 years. Went to this restaurant after opening. It's less than one mile away. Got a Golden Cadillac Marq. In my life, have never left a $15 drink on the table. Doubt was much tequila in it. Totally watered down. Puke!! The food, Taco Bell is three rings above the food, this place puts on tables. Sad, embarrassing for Mexican food. I would not let my dog eat here (he loves tacos--not). Maybe someday, a decent restaurant will replace this plastic food they produce

Absolutely not.I feel like family /friends must've written these reviews. We moved to Maryland from Arizona & have been looking for good Mexican food. There was another review on here by someone also from AZ so we figured this must be the spot. We ordered $85 worth of food & were displeased with nearly all of it.Appetizers : Fried elote - this is cornbread with mayo for dipping. Just call it that.Bean & cheese papusa- there was about 90% bean /10% cheese. The cheese could not be detected & it was flat and dense, not fluffy at all.Entres:Shrimp with garlic sauce (asked for with no onion) - shrimp was overcooked, not deveined, and small. The garlic was raw, and the sauce was thin. And...there were a bunch of onions.Beef chimichanga- the size of this would be an absolute joke if it came from an Arizona restaurant. It was freezer section small & not good at all. No flavor but onion.Hawaiian quesadilla - SMALL! This is like a child sized quesadilla & not well cooked. My son enjoyed the flavor, but he is a teenager & is currently also eating my boring chimichanga since they were both such small meals. (And I didn't find it worth the bother to eat.)Dessert :Churros- again...size and flavor would be an embarrassment if you presented these in a western state. I'm fat. I like food. These are not good. It's a shame. The staff seemed INCREDIBLY friendly & we were really excited to try all the stuff we ordered. Complete let down for what ended up being a $93 check. Next time we'll just stick with Big Papi's (or Taco Bell)

We went to the restaurant for date night. We were sat right away in the bar area with Julio as our server . He made a special drink for my husband. We ordered shrimp and steak quesadilla., came out hot and yummy. We also ordered parrilladas for one to share. Our server recommended it and it was very good. You could tell the food was made to order. As we were waiting for our check, one of the owners came over to talk. We told her how much we enjoyed this restaurant. We will return again.
