Gordy's

This was the second time I have been there. I think the first time was ok, so we gave it another try.This place is a pretty small little American Bistro (or at least that's what it's trying to be). It's got 5 tables for dining and a bar about 15-30 feet long. Not a lot if space, but it's cozy. The music was a little loud, especially since the speaker was in the back where we sat. Made it kind of hard to have a conversation. The staff were ok, not the most welcoming, but maybe the hostess/server was having a bad day, I don't know. Not rude just meh...Now to the food. I had the Caprese Melt sandwich. I love a good Caprese salad and was hoping that it would be similar flavors. I was very dissapointed. That sandwich has no business being on the menu. It just wasn't very good. The fact that it's served on Texas Tost didn't help. Maybe put it on a better bread (Cibatta maybe) and it might be better. It kind of tasted like an average grilled cheese sandwich to be honest. I would avoid it if possible. We also had the chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad was nothing spectacular either. It was lacking flavor and on the same Texas Tost. That was ok for that sandwich, but didn't help it al all. Finally, the Dill pickle dumplings. Don't let the name fool you, it's not what you will be expecting. It is basically a pickle slice in like a wonton wrapper and fried. Not a big fan....Overall, I was pretty dissapointed overall. Not sure I would go back after that meal.

Would have been 4 stars but the burgers were kind of tough!!Wife and I stopped in to had a burger, she go the Mango Habanero Bacon Burger. the burger was good but it was extremely dry, just because it was ordered to be cooked with No pink shouldn't have made the burger meat tough. I had the Spicy Jack Burger also cooked to No Pink and it was also very dry and the meat was tough, both burgers were different sizes. The mango burger was kind of small for the bun but the spicy jack was bigger and fit the bun. Some places cook their burgers different next time I'll get them cooked not NO Pink and see what happens, I don't mind the pink but the wife won't eat it with a lot of pink. If you like Old Fashions, there not bad hear I did have to guide the bartender a little told her 2 more shake of bitters and a small squirt of sweetener and it was very good also got a large ice cube. We like it here and will be back..

Quaint neighborhood establishment. As soon as the clock struck 1130am people started rolling in, which is a sign of good food to me. I had an opportunity to meet the owner, Gordy, who is extremely personable, very nice guy.There are two reasons why I didn't rate Gordys five stars. First, I didn't order anything for myself ‍ (but everything smelled delicious) . I was given a complimentary fresh squeezed cup of lemonade while I waited, which I thoroughly enjoyed.The second reason was because the food was supposed to be ready for pickup by 11:30am (granted there were 39ppl. who ordered) but it wasn't ready until 11:59am. normally I wouldn't be such a stickler about time but I was charged 20% gratuity up front for the staff to come early so that I could pick up the order up when they opeat 11:30am.Overall, if I'm ever in that area again, I will try Gordy's.

Limited menu but we had tacos and they weee very good. The grapefruit crush was good and we ate outside which is under cover. We will go again.

In a county with so few options food-wise Gordy's could really be killing it. Even with limited space they should stay with a packed house. I came here not to long ago with my wife, and it was okay at best. The servers were really nice, but the food really wasn't anything to brag about. We actually left here and went down the street to Bricks after ordering some appetizers. I just don't understand sitting on prime real estate and being sub-par. I'm all for having a menu with traditional bar food, but what item are they priding themselves on? Definitely not wings, and the loaded fries Forget about it!

Only in the area for a short time so I googled and found Gordy's. I am so happy I did. It's a cool little place with a great feel. The bartenders Matt and Mo were awesome and I chatted with a nice local lady Donna. The food was great and next time I am getting the fried shrimp starter. Someone got that as I was leaving and it looked awesome

I love Gordy's - Their burgers are great and for Prince Frederick, they have a great, rotating beer selection.

My husband and I dropped by on a whim for lunch and we were definitely impressed. They have a nice outdoor seating area, but it was a little chilly when we went, so we ate inside. There aren't a lot of seats inside, but the ambiance is cozy and eclectic. They had a great selection of local beers on tap, which we love to see. Our server was great and checked on us often to make sure we had all we needed. I got the pulled pork nachos. They were a good portion and the pork was great, however the chips tasted a little stale. My husband got a bacon Texas burger and it was fantastic. You could tell it was homemade and fresh. The carrot fries left us a little disappointed. They were lukewarm and not crisp, almost like they got done before everything else and sat. As we were leaving, someone got the wings and they smelled so good, we will be back to try them!

One of the best buffalo chicken salads I've ever had! And the pulled pork sandwiches are consistently high quality with a delicious cole slaw. The tacos had a generous portion of shrimp.

It's a VERY small place. The bathrooms are directly beside tables. It's weird. But I won't take stars off for that. They can't help how small it is. But the menus were very dirty. The floor was dirty with food so I slipped when I tried standing up. Luckily I fell back into my chair so I didn't fall to the floor. I got the garlic parmesan wings. They were crispy, but didn't taste anything like garlic or parmesan. Everyone else liked their food. The waitress was super nice. But I wouldn't go back there. Just too small and details like the menu and floor being dirty just threw me off. With such a small place, it shouldn't be that difficult to keep it clean. The people at the bar seemed to be really enjoying themselves. They were all laughing and joking around.
