I had better food. Their prices are so high. Beware you will spend so much money on their take out when you could of drove further and got more food for your money. 4 star or 5 star restaurant would give you more and you can sit down and eat your food in a comfortable setting. I was in a rush to start my shift at the Hospital and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. OMG! to my surprise I was charge 12.50 for a very small shrimp fried rice it was so small I could not believe my eyes. Beware I suggest read reviews before spending your money here. This is an honest review.

I ordered carry out from Golden House. I only chose general Tsos chicken, the price with tip for the driver was about $28.To say this is one of the worst general tsos chicken I ever had would be an understatement.In opening the container, there were pieces of breading with so little chicken I couldn't tell if it was either white meat or dark meat. What there was of the chicken was over cooked in a cloyingly sweet sauce, with no nuance or flavor The one star is for the fact that they did put broccoli in the dish. Very disappointing

This tiny little place seems like a relic of an age before Bethesda had skyscrapers, and has been there in its current form for as long as I can remember (close to three decades) and who knows how much longer. It is strictly a takeout place. When I ordered online from their website, I did not get a confirmation email, which worried me a bit, but they had my food hot and ready to go when I arrived (and the email showed up afterwards for some reason).They have an ample vegetarian menu, and those dishes come by default with brown rice for some reason, which is fine by me. The curry tofu that I asked for spicy was a nice portion; I'm glad I didn't get any more sides because it was plenty for lunch. And it had an occasional burn, was tasty, and had just enough vegetables. Nothing fancy, but I have no complaints.It is one of the closest places to NIH and the military medical center, and I assume it's been here forever because they are capable of reliably producing decent, cheap, quick food for anyone in need of a takeout lunch.

I'm not sure what happened. I used to go to these folks all the time when I worked in Bethesda and the food was always good. I only got the shrimp fried rice or combination fried rice. I was in Bethesda last week and I stopped by and grab me some Food immediately I saw that there was a difference in the rice color so I said maybe it's just me. So when I tasted, I was like OK this is disgusting. The first bite. It was gross. I threw the whole thing off driving up to 70 I was so pissed the food was disgusting. I don't know if they have new management or what but it's disgusting. Don't go here she might as well. Go to get you a bag of Chinese food out of the frozen department in your nearby store. It's better than this.

This use to be my go to Chinese take out . It had great quality food and cheap prices and super convenient . The bonus was they had this easy free parking lot right next to building . Now they jacked up the prices and the quality is bad .They have that rubbery beef you would find at a bad Chinese buffet. The soups are water down especially the hot and sour. Barely taste spice.Their shrimp with lobster is mostly watery sauce with few shrimp.Too bad ... I will now have to drive a bit further to find good cheap Chinese ... I like red ginger in Kensington or mayflower in silver spring

We placed an order for 25 people last week.Jason was amazing explaining everything. Order was paid 4 days in advance because my time was limited on pickup day.Upon my arrival everything was ready on time & they helped me load the order in my car.Everything was delicious and we had enough food for everyone.We will definitely be ordering again.
