I absolutely love G&M. I was craving a double crab cake platter yesterday after church. There is no better way than to resonate on the lords word while enjoying a delicious meal. Crab cakes are full of delectable crab meat! No filler! Ask for a side of garlic butter for the extra razzle dazzleKaitlin was simply amazing! She catered to all of my needs and was extremely wonderful. Thank you for the exceptional customer service #EatGoodAndBeHappy #TheCrabCakeTourContinues

Dine-In Customer ServiceThe customer service was excellent, and the wait time was surprisingly reasonable. Food In the words of Auntie Tabitha Brown, "Let's get into it!" For seafood lovers, G&M is known for its crab cakes, which are consistently highly rated. Personally, I found them to be decent, ranking them third on my list. They are packed with lump meat and broiled to a delightful crisp with minimal shell. However, I was hoping for a bit more flavor compared to my top two favorites (Kocos and Pappas)--if you know, you know. Ambiance Upon entering, there is a pleasant waiting area for guests and a spacious setting with various seating options to accommodate large groups. Parking- Small lot available. Please do not park across the street, you will be towed.

I wish you could give negative stars. I'm so pissed off with the experience we had here on Sunday that I am not even sure where to begin. I can't remember when I have had a worse time than I did here. Let's dive in.First off, those of you who are familiar with my postings already know that my partner, Mr. X, can be a little, hmm, "difficult" to please at times; but if he happens to roll out of bed on the wrong side of a hangover in the morning, he can be impossible all day. Fortunately, a good experience at a restaurant can right this-- but alas, I was not to be so lucky on this night. Let's just say his attitude worsened with each passing minute, starting about the time the waiter said "hello", and enlightened us that he would be "taking care of us this evening." To be fair, he was a nice enough guy, and really the problems were probably not 100% his fault. Our drink order was taken, and the cocktails arrived promptly. All is well... until our server suddenly lets us know that they would be closing early, and we should order now. Uh oh, we meet the first problem-- and a major one. You see, Mr. X and I like to linger over drinks at dinner, imbibing several before appetizers are even put in. This new news put a huge-ass wrench into the entire event, and sets the tone-- or should I say Mr. X's tone (we know how he is)-- for the rest of the experience. When we pressed our server as to why the early closing time, he simply stated "it's just been really slow today I guess because it's Superb Owl Sunday", to which Mr. X and I countered with something to the effect of "The patronization of your restaurant is not our problem".See, gentle reader, the problem here is that he had already delivered our drinks, so that gave us little option to make the choice to up and leave. Had they told us at the door of the premature closing, then, well, we would have just left and went home to Mama Celeste. Oh, and we even went out an hour earlier than usual (arrived at 7) because we knew they only served until 9. What a waste of gasoline. Oh boy. More good times coming...Deflated, we told the server we needed a minute to order, as we hadn't even looked at the menu yet. In fact, I hadn't even had a sip of my drink yet. Both of us feeling disgusted, we quickly peruse the menu and make fast decisions, which will prove to be detrimental. In less than a minute the server returns, note pad in hand. I ordered the single crab cake platter with asparagus, a side salad, and French onion soup. Mr. X orders chicken with mushrooms in a cream sauce over linguine, and a bowl of cream of crab soup (they don't have cups... odd?).The fun starts pretty quickly. Within just a couple minutes of taking our orders, the salads come out. What happened to the soups? The order goes soup, salad, appetizer, dessert. Why is it that so many restaurants get this wrong? I mean Christ on the cross, this is basic restaurant 101. Anyway, no sooner had I picked up my fork, we see the soups come out. What was supposed to be French onion soup was a crock of thin, tasteless broth that resembled enema water, having barely melted cheese on top with a handful of soggy salad croutons beneath. This was without a doubt the worst excuse for French onion soup I ever had. Honestly, Lipton Cup-a-Soup is better, I don't jest. Likewise, Mr. X, when asked about his Cream of crab soup, commented simply "horrible". I didn't press for further detail. Then, with little surprise, the entrées arrive within 5 minutes of the soups having landed on the table. Remember now, I have barely had a chance to touch my salad, and my cocktail still sat there, not yet having even been tasted. When I asked the busser why the food was coming out on top of each other at breakneck speed, he merely looked at me as if I had just peed in his mouth. I just accepted them, and figured if the evening is going to be a total disaster, why not see how bad we can make it. Besides, I didn't want to send them back to the kitchen because I knew the staff would just spit in them, or worse.I asked Mr. X how his chicken entrée was, and he replied "just fine, but nothing I would order again". Well, that's no problem, because we will never be back to this shit hole. The crab cake was too small and pricy for the size. There are much better options for crab cakes in this town-- Romano's, By the Docks, and CiCi's, just to name a few all far surpass the crap cake that G&M serves. I'd love to shake the hand of an idiot that would consider having these shipped. I mean good lord.I'd like to tell you, my reader, that there was a highlight to this evening, but there was not one, and only enhanced Mr. X's ability to turn into a arrogant sociophobe in seconds. It was horrible. It was expensive. It sucked dog asshole. It's average dining directed toward, well let's just be really nice and say "average folks", at its best. We were home by 9, and sometimes we don't even go out until then. We will never be returning.

The crab cake lived up to it's hype my coworker was giving. Tons of jumbo crab and tasted delicious. Calamari and zucchini chips were great appetizers as well. We got there early so we able to get a seat easily but it was full by time we were done eating. Service was good and drinks were cold.

While visiting with our family, his sister Fedex'd some crab cakes from G & M Restaurant & Lounge and they graciously pan-fried us some crab cakes. Not too heavy on the seasoning, so the crabmeat really shines through like the sweetness and freshness. Wow, so good! [Taken from their website] "Proudly serving Baltimore crab cake lovers for over 30 years. As we have grown over the years, our business has expanded from exclusively in-room dining to shipping all over the US."

Before leaving on another weekend getaway out of the DMV, my Handsome picked this spot for dinner. It's far from the city but close to BWI so of course he wanted me to try. He said this was the best crab cake ever and that it gave Jerry's a run for their money so this girl was excited to come.Service was good! Nice hosts and sweet waitress. Ambiance is giving causal, you definitely don't need to dress up. Oysters - GREAT Crab cake - Good Drinks - GREAT Overall, I get why the Big Spoon likes this place. Definitely worth a try.

My coworkers and I visit G&M often for lunch celebrations. They are great at accommodating large parties. Service is always fast and friendly, the prices are reasonable and the food is tasty.During today's visit, I tried the Sea Bass, which was on their specials menu. I was truly surprised at how large the filet was, didn't except to get so much for 19 bucks. The fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly, very flavorful.
