Food Lion

My favorite neighborhood market. I am able to get organic products and lots of sale items as well as plants and flowers. The staff is usually very friendly and the store is always clean. It's best to go early, and I don't always get the meat I want but I am able to get a majority of our needs here.

Food Lion had what I needed - fresh ginger - but is was kind of sorry looking. I wanted some good cheese. Their selection was small - but they did have the Gorgonzola, Gruyere and Manchego, but no Fontina. I only priced the ginger and it was about double what I'd pay at Safeway in California - but I knew I was not in Safeway... this was Food Lion.Later I told everyone I got some cheese at Lion King. They said, "You mean Food Lion." I said, "Yeah, Food Lion". What a cheesy name for a grocery store.

This store is very clean, consistently well stocked, and displays are aesthetically pleasing. They make sure lines are short and cashiers are all friendly. The fruit are fresh and veggies are crisp. The prices are pretty average with other grocery stores which is why I only gave it 4/5 stars. One item I noticed that happened to be cheaper than most was their Sargento sliced cheese. They often have it 2/$5. (I love cheese )

Just an average supermarket. The staff is friendly, but the produce is often subpar and the selection of proteins isn't the best. No options for grass-fed or organic beef. Martins in Rising Sun is much better if you are up for a little bit of a drive.

I love this store. I would choose to come to this Food Lion over Weis, ShopRite, Mars, etc. They have an abundance of options for each item, and their generic brand is cheap and tastes like the real thing. We always save a lot of money (much cheaper than Weis) and there are never long lines. As far as international food, whenever I need a random ingredient for an Asian or Mexican dish, they always have it. I never have to go to a specialty store to get it. I have tried Mars and Weis for special ingredients and I always end up back at Food Lion because they never have it. Always clean, and the employees are super friendly.

Very clean store, friendly service, good selection of food and good sales prices. We go there every week for groceries and never had a problem :)

Employees very helpful. The convenience of shopping near my home. The ability to have food delivered. Many items have a good variety of choices. I just like this particular store. That is about all I have at this moment. Take it or leave it. I'm done

The staff there are always so friendly! The store is clean, well organized, and stocks a great selection of food and non-food items. It looks like they're doing renovations in phases to give the store a facelift, which is great. We recently moved to the area and are so happy to have this place nearby!

We originally went here for our pre-sailing grub, before realizing there was a grocery store in downtown HdG. Anyway, Food Lion is ok -- not the cheapest grocery store around. Weis (in HdG) seems to have lower prices.
